Hello all. My name is Matt. I live in Florida. I actually registered on these boards some time ago, but haven't found occasion to post until now. I thought with the recent influx of new members I would take the opportunity to introduce myself and share a story about my morning.
First, a little background. I travel each morning about 8 miles to university. A little while ago I purchased a new car to allow me to do this more reliably. I've also become quite fond of listening to Hayley on the way to university. I've found her music really relaxes me and allows me to take my mind off of the frightful traffic in Orlando.
Well, this morning I was following my usual routine listening to Hayley sing during my commute and one of my speakers gave out in spectacular fashion. Talk about a departure from Hayley's normally peaceful (at least to me) sound.
Long story short, I've learned that listening to Hayley on a daily basis might be hazardous to your vehicle and require trips to the warranty service center, but in the end, it's still quite worth it!
I just thought I would share that little anecdote as an icebreaker, and I hope I can become a more active part of this community in the future!

Hello Matt and welcome to the forum. It is true we have had an influx of new members recently and we hope that will continue.
Thank you for your icebreaker. Perhaps that will encourage other to do likewise.
Please feel free to join in with any of the discussions throughout the forum and I hope you enjoy being a part of our international Hayley community.
Best wishes, Roger

I reckon you must have been listening to Hayley's rendition of Karl Jenkins' 'Benedictus' when your speaker gave out. It was "the boom" wasn't it? Andrew

Hello Matt, and welcome to the Forum! I'm sure Andrew is correct, because Hayley's voice couldn't possibly blow your loudspeaker! I hope you enjoy your visits here, and I look forward to your future posts. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hello Matt. Welcome back, although you probably joined the first time long before I did. As you say, this was a fault of your car speaker, not the fault of Hayley but I think we are all awaiting the day with excitement when we receive a news report that she has shattered the theatre chandelier. What is required? Is it the frequency of top A to cause good lead crystal to shatter? Or perhaps a large spot--but hopefully nowhere near her head!
Perhaps Dave knows the traditional circumstances in which a soprano at full belt causes glass to shatter? Peter S.
