Hayley Westenra has a celebrity playlist on itunes. I mention this because she cited Jeff Buckley's cover version of one of Leonard Cohen's best songs "Hallelujah" as her favorite songs. I wonder if she knows Buckley's is a cover. I'm a big Leonard Cohen fan, so I simply could not abide Buckley's version. It had none of the intensity of Cohen's version.

wow.....when I heard buckley's version I was awestruck. I mean his voice is kind of homogenized in some places, but overall i felt it was really emotional, haunting, and INTENSE. But if leonard cohen's is better than that by leaps and bounds, perhaps I should check it out.....
even so...i still admire buckley's voice. rarely heard a more haunting tenor voice.
