I would like to know what some of you feel about the maketing of Hayley in the UK.
I think they need to do some more stuff . And go full frouce and mostly around chistmas time .
This year I think is the year that is going to have some of the most clssical crossover cds come out and some of theses cds are going to do good. So I think this hayley they sould really get this this maket.
Because there are cds that are come out my G4,IL Divo , Katine jekins, aled jones, byln tral, and there are some new ones like Vittorio Grigolo, I think his cd is coming out this year his I do not know if it is going to me put on the UK classical chart , Jon Christos , Joseph Mcmanners, Choirboys, Amy Nuttall. I think there could be more but i do not know. If she can go up aganit these people than I think her cd would do good.

Hello Kimberly! I'm on Hayley's mailing list (run by Decca), and I've just received the e-card for "Odyssey". Unfortunately they haven't updated it with the UK tracklisting, so it mentions "I Say Grace" and "My Heart Belongs To You", which aren't going to be on the UK version, released tomorrow! The good news is, they are now advertising "Odyssey" on Classic FM, and it's on their "Most Wanted" voting list for tomorrow. I think Hayley's recent appearances on TV and radio should help to bring Hayley back to prominence, and she's giving a performance and signing session at HMV in London's Oxford Street on Tuesday, which I'm going to! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Hi Kimberly, I understand your concern but I really don't think there is much more that can be done. As Richard has said, there has been good media coverage and her current presense in the UK will help. The fact that Odyssey appears on Classic FM's "Most Wanted" for the day of release, shows they are on the ball and I am convinced they will be playing tracks from the album at every conceivable opportunity. Incidentally, the personal support she is getting from her record label was evident on Thursday evening in that the Chief Executive of Decca was in the audience, as he so often is. He was the one that originally flew to New Zealand to sign her up. I think his personal enthusiasm will guarantee that Decca pull the stops out and promote her as much as possible. Don't worry, she'll do okay. Roger

Hi Kimberly, I've not repied to this thread yet as I wanted to find out more about what was going to happen - but I haven't forgotten about it, as you can see My "Music Week" didn't arrive last week and I've only just received a copy... but guess what? There's an article all about... Hayley's UK marketing campaign!!! This isn't online so I've scanned it.. and here it is. Note the reference to a single in November - Both Sides Now!!! It gave me a bit of a shock when I first read the headline, I can tell you!!! Music Week, 8th October 2005

Thank you for the interesting article Dave! I notice it says Hayley's UK church tour will continue in December, so perhaps there are going to be some more dates announced soon. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see! Bye for now, Richard

Hi everyone, I found an old article from "The New Zealand Herald" about Christmas CD releases. This thread seemed the most appropriate place to post it in as it quickly mentions Hayley and Odyssey. It's something we've already largely discussed so I doubt there is anything new to add. But the journalist suggested here that special editions were only made for Hayley fans (Hayleyites...that's the first time I hear this!). Where is the truth in that?!
