Hi folks, I have had an email from my good friend Janey at Smoke CDs to say that they now have the album available for pre order. Personally, I would recommend Smoke CDs to anyone. I have dealt with them several times and always been delighted with the product, the service, the price, the speed and the friendliness shown by them. The link to take you to the relevant page on their website is: www.opuscds.com/cd/37752Keith.

What You Never Know (Won’t Hurt You) I do not think she co-written that song as I think it is the Sarah brithman song. the won't hurt you gaves it away.
I know I say grace is a new song well I think it is.

I'm sure its Giles Martin who co-wrote 'I Say Grace', as Lothar found out at one of the German dates in March.
'What You Never Know' is co-wrote with Canadian songwriter Stephan Moccio., who has written songs for Celine Dion.

Some interesting information here:-
New CD, new image for Hayley 19 July 2005 By MIKE HOULAHAN
Christchurch's international singing star, Hayley Westenra, has released details of her new album.
The disc, to be called Odyssey, features a duet with Andrea Bocelli, with whom she performed in New Zealand last year, and her first songwriting credit.
Odyssey is Westenra's second international release and the fifth album of the teenager's career.
The album title ¨C and a resultant change to a more adult image ¨C was inspired by Westenra's recent 18th birthday.
"The whole idea was that she was older, more mature and moving on into her adult career," said Gerhard Simanke, head of promotions at Westenra's New Zealand record company, Universal Music.
The photography on Odyssey is by Kevin Westenberg, who has worked with U2 and Coldplay.
Pure, Westenra's first international release, is the biggest-selling New Zealand album of all time, with 175,000 copies sold.
"I was happy with Pure at the time, but I've moved on so much," Westenra said. "It's really exciting to have something new out there for people to listen to. I wanted to make a record that represented me as a person, and I think I've improved as a vocalist."
Odyssey reunites Westenra with producer Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer Sir George Martin.
On the album's 12 tracks, the backing music ranges from solo acoustic guitar to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It varies in style from classical music ¨C a traditional Ave Maria ¨C to a cover of Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now, and May It Be, a song from The Lord of the Rings films.
The album contains Westenra's first songwriting credit - for co-writing What You Never Know (Won't Hurt You) with Canadian songwriter Stephan Moccio., who has written songs for Celine Dion.
Westenra also arranged several of the songs on Odyssey.
"I like to push myself, and I'm now confident enough to try different things," she said. "I have been much more involved behind the scenes with this album. I wanted to put my individual stamp on each song."
Odyssey will be released in New Zealand on August 8.
Westenra is planning a world tour this year that will include New Zealand concert dates.

Stephan Moccio is the person that worte SB what you know (won't hurt you) how could hayley of co-worte it?
I like it how she had more say in this cd than pure.

Hi Kimberly, Yeah I checked it out and he wrote it for Sarah Brightman. www.xs4all.nl/~josvg/cits/sb/sb1204.htmlMaybe he and Hayley have reworked / remixed it. I dont know if Sarah Brightman had anything to do with writing it, they just credit Stephan Moccio. Strange, if they are saying its Hayley's first songwriting credit. Emmett

I think they put the wroung song that she co-worte and has far as I know most of this cd she did in the Uk I can not see her going to canda to meet this guy and I would of more or so think that she would co-write a song with giles.

Of course, in today's world of instant global communication, collaboration does not require two people to be in the same place at the same time.

Thanks everyone for (almost!) clearing that one up! Steve (Hayley's Manager) described "What You Never Know" as "Hayley's song" when I asked him about it at the Pony Centre and he said it's so good that "they" (Decca?) want to release it as a single. So that could happen - although no final decision had been made. I'd have thought that in this case, Hayley has perhaps re-worked it, possibly in collaboration with the original composer, and that her version is sufficiently different from the original to qualify as a co-composition. At the very least, I'm sure Hayley will appear in the arranger's credits but possibly as co-composer. Very interesting indeed... and if that is what's been done, I think it's a brilliant way of easing into the World of composing/arranging! Kimberly, "Hayley's song" is definitely "What You Never Know"... but the details of what and how it was done are still a little blurry!

I still do not see how they could of re-worked it and have it that name and I kind of hope that hayley song would be something different . I do not know how much I am going to like this song as I do not know how good of a rework they could of did with a song that I think the liyics are not that good. But I did not hear it. i think they mean that there are new liyics to it but i would not say what they say. I would more or so say a rework. Because it is not all new.
I hope she did not change the music as the music is the best part of the song.
She more or so did a new aragement and I would think it would have some adds stuff to it.
But I hope she did not make it more poppy as I think it is poppy as you can see I do not like this song that much so I hope this rework is as good as they say.
I hope the liyic were may better and more intereasing and I hope there is not as much repearting that is the thing I do not like about this song.
