Hi Emmett, Roger, Lothar, Cathleen without a K - and everyone else above, who I can't see at the moment - oh, now I see, Kim and Stephanie! HMV UK claim that Katherine's new album will be called "Katherine" (I nearly wrote Kathleen!) but her official website says it hasn't been decided. There is no album cover posted yet, so I wonder which message was written first? Hayley's/Aled's manager Steve certainly will be busy. If Aled is releasing in the UK at the same time in October as Hayley releases in the US, he may need to be in two places at the same time! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Katherine also says that there is not tile for it right now. She is going to be going by some ideas that her fans give her. I think Katherine and Aled cds are the cds that Hayley would have to look out for. Katherine cd is mostly to do good with all the exposer she gets.

Hi Cathleen, Perhaps you should change your surname to "Withersey" Roger with a Q. The Q happens to be silent..... and invisible, but it's there!

I also think Hayley would have to watch out for Katherine and Aled if I am right Aled's Cd is comming out a week before Katherine's Cd The good thing is Hayley get's a highstart over them .I think all 3 of them are going to have a hard time to get on the classical chart .

I haven't seen the track listing for the other two so I wouldn't know but I believe Hayley's will make it into the UK classical charts once the odd track from the International version has been changed. I just may have to buy all three but, because of my loyalty to Hayley, I'll buy hers twice. Roger

It depend's on what they choice to call classical .I know 5 song's of both Katherine's and Aled's Cd's and they out of those song's only a few I would call classical. Now if zoe mace album was taken off the classical chart witch I looked at the tracklist for that and many of those song's are folk song's .I for some reason do not think hayley would be put on the classical chart but she can not alway's get what she want's.

Stephanie, you raise an interesting point. 'Pokarekare Ana' is traditional. In other words it is surely a folk song written many years ago - it just happens to be a Maori one. Yet it is counted as a "classical" track. In that case, why shouldn't all English, Scottish, Irish and even American traditional folk songs be counted as classical?
And who or what determines whether or not the soundtrack from a film is classical? It is based on somebody's personal opinion based on how its overall sound?
Comments and opinions, please.
Roger

Roger Hi Roger and Stephanie, I do know some of the rules about this and I've been thinking about Odyssey on a track by track basis; I even started a thread about it here so I'll try and update that thread, asap this evening (we now know a bit more about it). Certainly, Steve and Hayley are determined to get Odyssey in the UK classical chart and as you know Roger, from what Steve said last weekend, they know exactly how they are going to do it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well with me I do not call folk song's classical or film music classical but that is only because here in the US we have many chart's for most kind's of music. But everything is subjective.
I was looking at Hmv uk and it sould be interesting if Bernstein: Peter Pan in put on the classical chart if it make's it on there I know it was put on billboard's classical chart not the crossover but that could be because of Bernstein as he was looked at as classical .War of the world's witch they took off the UK classical chart was put on billboard's crossover chart if I am right here in the Us we also have a chart for soundtrack's.
