Most of the biggest Classical Crossover artists will be releasing albums in the UK in the next few months; here is the latest release schedule: Release Date - Artist - Title 26-Sep-05 - Hayley Westenra - Odyssey 03-Oct-05 - Amici Forever - Defined 10-Oct-05 - Bryn Terfel - Simple Gifts 24-Oct-05 - Aled Jones - New Horizons 31-Oct-05 - Katherine Jenkins - Katherine 07-Nov-05 - Il Divo - New Album 07-Nov-05 - Andrea Bocelli - New Album ??-Nov-05 - G4 - New Album Not all of them will appear in the Classical Charts but even so, it will be very interesting to see who comes out on top! Their highest shop sales for any one album in any one year since 2002 are as follows (total sales are higher): 970,000 Il Divo *** 580,000 Hayley Westenra 530,000 G4 *** 440,000 Bryn Terfel 330,000 Andrea Bocelli 244,000 Katherine Jenkins 150,000 Aled Jones 110,000 Amici Forever *** Did not qualify for the UK classical chart Let the battle lines be drawn!

Hi Dave, It is sure going to get interesting but perhaps it is no surprise that so many artists are releasing new albums in the run-up to Christmas. From that list, there are three that I will definitely buy and two or three others that I may consider when I have heard a couple of tracks. However, so long as I get Hayley's I will be one happy man. I must say I appreciate Bryn releasing 'Simple Gifts' on my birthday. Who told him? Roger

Hello again folks! Looking at the list and the dates, I hope "Odyssey" will be released on schedule. If it is, everybody will be far too busy listening to it to even think about buying the others! At least Hayley will have a flying start! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Hi Guys,
Good to see Hayley there with the head start over the rest but its probably all down to how much publicity is done in the weeks leading up to it. Amazing as some of these artists are in the same record companies, but they are probably trying to cash in on the run up to Christmas.
I can see Katherine Jenkins doing well again this time and she would probably increase sales due to the amount of exposure she receives.
Dave, is her new album called 'Katherine' ??
Also I see Aled Jones will release a new album too, Steve will be busy.
Bye,
Emmett

Katherine Jenkins has no tile and for anyone that whats to know she is going to have over the rainbow, music of the night, we'll meet again, David of the White Rock ,Amazing Grace, Nessun dorma. I think her cd would do very well she is getting alot of exposer.
I hope Hayleys cd does good . It is good that she has some well know songs one it .
Hey I find it odd how Hayley and Katherine are having cds come out this year and if you look at there cds hayley is having ave mrira on it and Katherine did that song and Katherine is having Amazing Grace and hayley had that on Pure.

Hi, Kim, I think Hayley also recorded 'Over The Rainbow' for the 'Hayley Westenra' album. Yeah Katherine and Hayley seem to be recording a good bit of the same material, maybe they are talking seeing as they are good friends?? Looks like we are all going to be skint by the time Christmas comes with all these new albums out. I hope nobody is looking for a present . Emmett

I believe "Over the Rainbow" was on My Gift to You. I am very ashamed to say I still don't have this album! I'm hoping to acquire it this year when Christmas comes around. But I do have the album Hayley Westenra and I know it doesn't have that song on it.

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for that correction. Silly me I'm always getting the 2 albums mixed up.
Keep an eye out on Ebay for a copy, you could pick one up cheap.
