... my advice would always be to take both, you can usually judge when you get there whether you will get away with using a DSLR, personally I prefer the compacts during the concert as they can be set to silent, and with the screen turned off you will not upset so many people as you would with the audible click of the mirror on the DSLR's. Steve H Hi Steve, I always use the Lumix during the concert and the DSLR otherwise, too. The Nikon is simply too big and noisy. So I've to beg the members pardon for the quality - ISO 800 simply overstrains the sensor of the Lumix. So here are some photos of the first half only for the sake of completeness:

Hi Graham, Many thanks, but as mentioned only for the sake of completeness. The next one will be your turn with the FZ 28. The pre concert gathering at half past two - four Americans on the scene:

I'm glad, too - seeing the posts of Tim and Joyce - but what APB stands for ? Hi Karsten, APB stands for 'All Points Bulletin' I think it comes from American cops ( policeman ) films where they put out a APB which means to "be on the lookout for ". In this case they are looking for your photo's Graham

Try to keep up Martin. We've been talking about 'the new' dress all day! Best wishes Grant The irony amuses me! I mentioned 'black and gold' three days ago. So much for my words ... Hayley wore a beautiful black and gold dress for Part 1 and the equally lovely orange/peach dress for Part 2. I know stage lighting and camera sensors can play tricks with the eyesight ... but brown?
