Hello everyone
Love the photo and pleased to see that someone thought to make a badge for Hayley. Nice to see her wearing it too!
Did she try on the tee shirt Larry brought over?
Now, where's the concert report? We're waiting with baited breath you guys!
Best wishes Grant

Do "we" have a photo of Hayley wearing the nice shirt that Larry brought from the US especially for her?

Looks like you guys had a fun night! I'm glad you gave Hayley a HWI badge too, otherwise I might've had trouble picking her out of the crowd!

Hi comet! I really enjoyed the photos of the HWI'ers before the show...I understand that you posted them here just after taking the pics...WOW I sometimes have trouble with Photobucket's size adjust also. I've uploaded your photo to my account there and had luck. I'll fix that wide group photo in a minute. Hi Paddy...thanks for taking time to scan the program for us...RTÉ Radio 1 will broadcast the concert at a later date. Hopefully we can listen in for that. That was good of Larry to bring that shirt over for Hayley! Thank you everyone! Joe

Thanks for the photographs, Comet! Did you edit them in Photobucket after you posted the links on the forum? If so, it can take 24 hours or more for the images to change. Now I'm really looking forward to the concert reports, please! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hayley happily signs a few items for a delighted Karsten . I am looking forward to seeing Karsten's photos too ! For some reason the duty manager at the NCH singled out myself and Karsten and told us to STOP taking photos at the signing, while still allowing others to take photographs. He got one of his staff, a very pleasant chap who often obliges us by taking photographs for us and can be seen at Hayley's table at many of the previous concerts to do the dirty work, The poor chap has seen us many times at various concerts and always has a big smile for us. He apologised and told us we had to stop taking photographs. I asked him Why ? and he just pointed back at the duty manager....... I am really sorry for the position his manager put him in and the embarrassment it caused him. The manager didn't have the guts to do it himself ! I know it was getting late, but it is The NATIONAL CONCERT HALL and we the patrons and the tax payers pay his wages. IT IS OUR NATIONAL CONCERT HALL, NOT HIS ! I hope you get to read this Rosita ! .

Hi Folks, It was Larry's idea to make the badges, We were in the queue for the signing and Larry made Hayley's badge as we walked, much to the amusement of myself and others in the queue. We discussed if he should give the sticker to Hayley to stick on herself or should Larry place the sticker on her and get himself arrested for assault I have to admit in the end the stickers were a good idea as I am not good with new faces and names, so it helped to identify the new members for all of us. Well done Larry

Despite the ban on photography imposed, I asked Hayley if she would stand with the members of Hayley Westenra International for a photograph. As you can see Hayley happily agreed, THANK YOU HAYLEY ! Tim, Larry, Bob and JeAnne who had traveled from the United states, Karsten from Germany, Joyce from the Netherlands, John and Lisa from Belfast, Amici in the horizontal stripes and the man on the left, I did not get his name. Who all went to great lenghts to get to this concert at OUR National Concert Hall.To all our visitors, Welcome to Dublin ! Thanks to Hayley and and the energetic David Brophy and the RTE Concert orchestra, you were all brilliant, the concert was great, Hayley and David Brophy get on like a house on fire, They are a pleasure and a great joy to watch performing together. .

Good point, Comet! I've noticed on some occasions that the people with SLR cameras are asked to stopped photographing, while those with compacts and mobile phone cameras are not. I don't get it myself. I mean, what harm can be done by photographing? OK, I wouldn't use flash photography while Hayley is performing, but whats the problem at the signing?!

So I think the only solution is to carry both a DSLR & compact just in case

Hi All.
Great photo's Comet, it looks like you all had a great time and such an international flavour to the attendees!
Dean, with regard to what Camera to take, my advice would always be to take both, you can usually judge when you get there whether you will get away with using a DSLR, personally I prefer the compacts during the concert as they can be set to silent, and with the screen turned off you will not upset so many people as you would with the audible click of the mirror on the DSLR's.
