Thanks,Drew Downloaded O.K. still seems to like Windows Media or Real Player but not VLC Graham Couldn't make it work myself. Realplayer attempted to play it after downloading, but claimed that the file format and extension were incompatible. I wasn't given any other choice, ans Window being Windows, you have no clue where it has put anything on your hard drive. If only RISC OS had a decent media player (sigh). Martin

After all, Hayley probably sings it better than anyone else on the planet. Probably?! I don't think there's any question! Even a harsh critic who reviewed the CW performance in Seattle last year called Hayley's Danny Boy "stunning". That was the best compliment he paid any of the girls in the show! He wasn't very enthusiastic about the show as a whole, though.

She had me in tears (again)! But, since I have not heard every performance by every singer that has ever sung it in the history of music, I can only say "probably". Martin

I have Windows Media Player set as my default player and clicking on Drew's link opens, buffers, then plays as it downloads. Once it's downloaded, all I have to do is click 'file' then left click on 'save media as' and tell it where to save it. Job done! Best wishes Grant

Hello everyone Thanks for the comments, reports, videos and pictures so far. Glad everyone had a great time - I really will have to make the effort to hear Hayley sing Danny Boy in Ireland - sounds like one of those 'never to be forgotten' experiences! Looking forward to hearing and seeing more! Best wishes Grant

Hi Joyce, Many thanks for sharing your wonderful photographs with us... Hayley looks gorgeous in the photographs and it's lovely to see Fiona and Ian again too... Hey... I had to put my glasses on for this one... for a moment I thought the telephone for the taxi service behind Fiona had "Fiona Cab" printed on it! Now I can see that its says "Fona Cab"... Maybe I need to visit 'Vision Express' ? I can clearly remember that Fiona once told us during a concert that she enjoyed "glamour backpacking" in Ireland... i.e. she hired a car. Perhaps she should consider branching out and launching her own taxi service as a sideline too? That would be fine - as long as she didn't "fiddle the books"!!! Sorry Fiona - just kidding! I look forward to hearing you in concert again very soon! Andrew

Hi all, Many thanks Joyce for all your fantastic photos posted here! Just my own brief personal report on my weekend in Belfast. Arriving early on Sunday morning into Belfast International Airport after a short flight from Edinburgh, I was too early to check into my hotel room and the shops as I discovered do not open until 1pm on a Sunday, so I had a few hours to kill. Thankfully it was a beautiful day so I spent some time walking round the city centre and going round a Ferris wheel next to the City Hall, which is currently closed for renovations. After checking in to my hotel, I eventually made my way over to the Waterfront Hall, which was only a 10 minute walk or so, and met up with more HWI folks going to the concert, it was great to see everyone there! We had a few hours to wait until the start of the show so we spent some time walking round the venue before splitting up into two separate groups. Later on we were joined in the lounge café by Drew, Max and Eugene and made our way into the auditorium for the start of the concert. Fiona Pears and the pianist Ian Tilley made their way onto the stage first, followed immediately afterwards by Hayley, in a stunning black dress! She opened with “Pokarekare Ana”, then sang the Caccini version of “Ave Maria”, followed by wonderful performances of two personal favourites of mine, “Scarborough Fair” and “The Water Is Wide”. Hayley then left the stage and Fiona proceeded with a rip-roaring performance of “Memories of Martin and Mary”! Hayley then came back on and sang “Prayer”, “Shenandoah”, before finishing the first half with a beautiful performance of “The Last Rose of Summer”. For the second half I was able to move to a far better seat closer to the action (Many thanks for that Eugene! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif) The second half opened with Fiona performing another couple of pieces, before Hayley came back onto the stage. She began with “Summer Fly”, followed by “May It Be”, and then an emotional performance of “Both Sides Now”, the beautiful “Lascia Chio Pianga”, “Santa Lucia”, then “In Trutina”, and finally “Hine E Hine”, which she always performs beautifully. Hayley and the band then left before Hayley came back on by herself for the first encore, sat down at the piano and performed “Sonny”. For the second encore, Fiona and Ian came back on for “Danny Boy”, as she started the audience broke into spontaneous applause, for many this must have been the highlight of the evening! She once again did a wonderful and emotional performance of this song, before she, Fiona and Ian finally left the stage. For the whole evening Hayley was once again on top form throughout, putting her heart and soul into every one of the songs she performed and giving powerful and passionate performances, showing just how much she has matured and continues to mature as a performer. At the end of the night, after Hayley and the other musicians had finished doing signings and having their photos taken, we split up and went our separate ways, Jeanny, Bob and myself headed back to the Hotel where we were staying. Once more we were left to reflect on what had been another fantastic and memorable evening of beautiful music for everyone who was there. Thank you to Hayley and to everybody involved for making this such a wonderful concert! Will hopefully get round to posting a few photos tomorrow evening. Best wishes, David

Thanks,Drew Downloaded O.K. still seems to like Windows Media or Real Player but not VLC Graham Hi Graham, Stupendous clip. Played perfectly well with Windows Media. My VLC played video only....I got no sound whatever no matter what I do with the settings. Thats never happened before so I assume the sound source was unreadable for VLC. Maybe the next update will fix that. Graeme PS Many thanks Drew for taking the trouble to video the songs. Hugely appreciated by us all.

Hi all, I did not go through the thread until now - but of course I want to let you know that I'm back alive . Contrary to Derry there were leaflets in Belfast available ( size 15 x 21 cm). If someone like to have one, please don't hesitate and send me a PM to figure it out. Here's the sample: Karsten
