There is no likelihood of rain or anyone painting the moon black! Only because that's happening tomorrow night! Just to get us in the spirit of things... Except it's not going to be seen in Europe. Shucks! The total lunar eclipse, the second this year, will be visible in North and South America, especially in the West. People in the Pacific islands, eastern Asia, Australia and New Zealand also will be able to view it if skies are clear.
People in Europe, Africa or the Middle East, who had the best view of the last total lunar eclipse in March, won't see this one because the moon will have set when the partial eclipse begins at 4:51 a.m. EDT. The full eclipse will begin an hour later at 5:52 a.m. EDT.news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070826/ap_on_sc/lunar_eclipse<3 Caitlin

Good morning. Here is the weather forecast for Friday 31st August in the London area! There will be sunny intervals with temperatures reaching a maximum of 21°C / 69°F, falling to 15°C / 59°F at night. Wind, NNW 5mph. There is no likelihood of rain or anyone painting the moon black! Roger Hi Roger & everybody, boy,you put a lot of faith in your weather predictions Roger, knowing what English weather was like when I lived there. You always had to have your wellington boots with you i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif we call them Gumboots here in NZ. NNW winds is that a warm wind like it is here in Canterbury NZ? Our Nor'wester can very hot during summer, Have fun folks, cheers, Rodders

Hi Rodders, Here in the northern hemisphere, a NNW wind would reduce the temperature but, if it is no more than 5mph, I doubt if we'll notice the difference. You are right in saying I put too much faith in the weather forecast. I guess I will never learn! Roger

Hi - a quick question for the members of HWI going to Shepherd's Bush on Friday - are you planning to be in the stalls or the gallery/level 1 seats?
Thanks

Hello James! We'll only be dancing if there's enough room! Does your question mean you'll be joining us? See you there, Richard

You are correct Richard - I will be there as soon as work permits. Wouldn't miss it after the concert at Hurtwood Park.

Hi James, I am delighted to hear you are coming to Shepherds Bush. Please introduce yourself to any of us as soon as you spot us. With you, that makes 17 members! With Hayley and Steve Abbott (who I am told is going), that makes 19 members. If we could just persuade one more, we would have ten per cent of the forum present! Incidentally, if ANYONE out there who is going to the concert, non-members included, please do likewise. It should be quite an occasion and we would welcome all Hayley fans. Hope to see as many as possible of you on Friday. Roger

Hi Joyce,
Well, me may have had ten per cent of the forum at earlier concerts but, in those days, we only had about 50 members and so there would only have been five of us! This is surely the largest gathering of members we have ever known.

I am very exited to got o the concert on Friday but I am going with my aunt not my mom. Oops, sorry, I was wrong at this point. Maybe I should read the posts more carefully. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe girl who likes to do the pre-concert is our HWI member Caitlin. She's got an own thread HERE where you can also find her own webpage and links to a few videos. Sorry, Caitlin, of course you can tell more about yourself and your music. Thomas

It is funny to see people who don't know me saying hello to me! Hi hayleysfan, I suppose it may seem strange when we say hello to you but that is what this forum is all about. With just one or two exceptions, none of us knew one another when we first joined. This forum is a place where Hayley's fan can "meet" to find out more about her, to discuss her music and to share their opinions with other members. Knowing that we have a love of Hayley's music in common, that makes us all friends... who said "with one or two exceptions"? Anyway, you and your Aunt will be more than welcome to join us on Friday. It should be great fun. I will let Caitlin tell you a little more about herself. I will just say that she is one of the team who run HWI and is one of our Global Moderators on the forum. Basically, she sings whenever anyone wishes to listen. And if there is nobody around, she sings anyway! Roger

Sure wish I could be there with you guys to give you all a dose of my warped sense of humor, but somehow I get the feeling that you won't need it...... I'm looking forward to reading about this and especially looking forward to the pictures! Best regards, Gene

Hi Gene, Haha, you got me going there. Just for a split second, I thought you were going to make it! Oh well, I guess we'll settle for your spiritual presense. It is now Tuesday in the UK so it is just... er... Oh, sorry Richard, that's your job! Roger 3 days to go but don't tell Richard I said so!
