Hi guys, I'm sorry to say I won't be going to this concert next week but until today, I wasn't quite sure why. Maybe standing up at a "dancing" concert put me off, also weekend concerts are always difficult for me. However, I've just realised the real reason.. locked away in my subconscious no doubt. This is the evening of the UK Big Brother final on Channel 4 and I dare not miss it as I have rather a lot of money riding on the result - enough to pay for all my Hayley concerts for the rest of the year and more i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif so I need to be sat at my computer ready to trade in and out online if the odds start to swing wildly (as they sometimes do on the final day). Luckily, the odds have already moved hugely in my favour (twins) so I've been able to completely cover my stake and it's just a question of breaking even or how much I win Sorry Hayley and guys but this time, needs must. Twins to win! Cheers, Dave

This is the evening of the UK Big Brother final on Channel 4 So people actually watch do they? And there's me thinking it was only broadcast to give the media watchdogs something to complain about! You live and learn! Best wishes Grant

Well gentlemen, if all continues to go to plan on the betting front, he who laughs last... If the plan fails, I'll be sat in front of this darned computer bored to tears while all you lot dance and jig to the music of our Musical Heroine... but at this stage (not that one!) I am quietly confident. Cheers, Dave

Grant, Sometimes spending the night is the easiest way, especially when dealing with London. I have to drive into Central London this afternoon, so that should be about as fun as ever There are a few carparks within spitting distance of the venue, but as always, it's a hit and miss game as to whether or not you'll get a space. Unfortunately, as I have a busy weekend planned, I need to be mobile and not dealing with the trains which take twice as long to get anywhere See you all there! ~Chris

"Oh yes!" he said, getting into his BMW with a personalised number plate. "Bookies don't ride bikes you know !"

Care to join me for breakfast? Roger Excellent decision Roger! When I looked at the Grantley Hotel web site, it stated they had 30 rooms, so I guess we must be occupying about a third of the hotel They won't know what hit 'em and I would be delighted to join you for breakfast. That is, unless I get a better offer. Best wishes Grant

Much earlier in this thread, Joyce asked if this would be the latgest ever HWI gathering. At the time, I said it wasn't because there were more than 30 of us at St James's Church in Piccadilly in September 2005. Strictly speaking, that is true. However, although a lot of that group were associated with HWI in some way, they were not all forum members. Although I cannot be certain because I don't have a record of who attended that earlier event, I now believe that we may establish a record at Shepherds Bush for the largest ever gathering of HWI Forum Members! Roger That would be brilliant - pity we can't be certain. However, I'm sure that another record will be broken (unless anyone can prove me wrong!) "The largest gathering of HWI Forum members to stay in the same hotel after a concert" Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
As far as I know, we would only need three to break that record! I gather we have you, me and Comet. Is anyone else staying there?
Roger
