Hi David and thanks for your report. Don't worry about the chocolate by the way, wouldn't want to deny Hayley her little "indulgences"! As for getting lost - we did!! I have a couple of nice pictures of you and Hayley, if you would like them please send me a PM with your Email address and I'll let you have them. Enjoyed meeting you last night Best wishes Grant

Hi everyone Thanks David for your report, it was a pleasure to meet you at last. I am so pleased that you got to meet Hayley and to spend some time with her on your first concert. Martin, its a real shame that you couldnt have been third time lucky it was definately worth two trips in order to experience this event. Some of us went for a quick drink in that same pub that we retired to, all dejected, last time after we had discovered Hayley was ill. It was then that we gave some thought to you and the others that couldn't make it again. Just think of your next concert and it won't seem so bad Best wishes Mark.

Does anyone know how hard it is to get ANY work done once you’ve gone to a Hayley concert, met some awfully nice people, and then got to have some laughs with everyone? I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s finding it hard to get their work done today!! First let me say it was SO nice to meet everyone at long last. And it was a big surprise when Roger and Dave were there too. Mark and I had been trying to figure out who the other two were going to be, and IF there were going to be another two. Other than David I’m not sure anyone HAS mentioned Holly’s performance! She began with O Mio Babbino Caro, then went into Shine, A Nun’s Chorus, and finally Time To Say Goodbye. She grew better and better with each song. It’s a shame she only could sing four songs. Her voice has grown so much since her CD, and I felt very lucky to be able to see her perform and then meet her a while later. I hope I’ll get to see her perform again someday. What else hasn’t been said? Gosh… I’m so glad she sang Let Me Lie. It’s one of my favourite songs. So much so that I used it in a school project because it fit with the poem I was analyzing. I was shocked when she said 'there’s an American in our midst now' and then she continued to say ‘Hi Caitlin!’ I was stunned, but I smiled and waved back. Dare I steal Belinda’s word…? Yes, I think I shall. WOW! I won’t be forgetting that anytime soon. This concert was actually a special one for me too. It was my first true Hayley concert. While I had seen her perform a few other times I had never actually seen her when she was headlining! I wasn’t disappointed, but I never thought for a minute that I WOULD be. I hadn’t quite realized this because she hadn’t much opportunity to talk in her other shows, or perhaps she was more relaxed here but Hayley’s got quite the sense of humor! For example, when she introduced Shenandoah she said ‘This song has over 100 verses…and the doors are locked’ and then she laughed. It was great! There was a lot of laughing, and joking going on. The announcer (his name escapes me), the crowd, Hayley, the band… At one point Fiona said ‘At least we know she’s human!’ which got quite a chuckle. After the concert we caught Holly and her mom Trixie on their way out. Well, Trixie was kind enough to come and let us know that they were on their way out. There were some pictures taken, which might be posted sometime…? And then we waited (as the story has been told), and got to see Hayley. Good thing for patience, and good friends to pass the time with, huh? We then made ourselves comfortable on the various couches and chairs, were offered something to drink (what fine hospitality! A HUGE thank you to BBC Wales), and spoke among ourselves again. Hayley said her farewells to the other group she was speaking with, and then came over to us. One of the first things she said after greeting us was, ‘What are you doing here?’ Surprise Hayley! We all got our turn with her, got autographs and pictures. And David got to meet Hayley for the first time! Yay!! It was a really enjoyable evening. Oh yes, we took a group picture (well a couple, one with Hayley and one without) and hopefully that will be posted in time. After we said our good-byes some of us (I think Grant, David and Peter went their own ways) went to have a drink. But the night still isn’t over! What some people (were you waiting for me? ) didn’t mention that there was a small, and very short, performance a little later. By whom you might ask? Why, I’ll tell you! It was me. Haha I sang the first two verses from ‘Colors of the Wind’ (I had NO idea was going to be singing and I’ll admit to being a little rusty having not really practiced for a while) and did a little dance for them too. Oh yes, and spoke in my English accent. It was a fantastic time, and I hope everyone else there enjoyed it as much as I did. <3 Caite

Hi Caite and many thanks for your FABULOUS report. Other than David I’m not sure anyone HAS mentioned Holly’s performance! Grant has! I doubt he has forgotten anything anyway. I’m so glad she sang Let Me Lie. It’s one of my favourite songs. It's also one of my favourite and I would love to hear her sing it live. You are all very lucky! I'm surprised she didn't sing "Sonny", though.

One of the first things she said after greeting us was, ‘What are you doing here?’ Surprise Hayley! Ah, but there is a little bit more to it than that, isn't there Caite?... As Caite began to answer the question, Hayley strode right up to Caite and gave her a little hug. This was clearly not a meeting between a celebrity and a fan; this was a meeting of two friends. Aaah! Roger

Hi Stephany, I guess Hayley had to draw the line somewhere... Andrew Absolutely, Andrew. If it was up to me, she would still be singing My question was rather : "why not Sonny instead of May it Be ?". Not that I dislike "May it be", on the contrary I love it, but I simply thought it was supposed to be a recording for the promotion of "Treasure".

Lol! It was an amazing evening, and most certainly, as Caite says, we can't forget Holly and her amazing voice! Her voice seems a lot more powerful than Hayley's... our Queen of Classical seems to have a lovely gentle melodic beat, which is wonderful... but I wonder how she would have been able to handle Holly's notes? lol Love and Light Mj... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
