Hello Dave! That's a really nice piece of Hayley history, so I'm going to post a link to the playlist on our Facebook page. Richard

I can't remember having seen these vid's before and all things considered the quality was not too bad at all excellent well done. Something we should hold on to at all costs if you know what I mean.

Hi everyone, Members who have not seen these videos before, please don't expect the kind of quality you get from modern videos, things were a lot more basic back then and this one was originally from a VHS tape then captured by Jason at a small size of 360 x 240, and then I had to crop out the VHS interference lines at the bottom (anyone remember them? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ). Given all that, it's a fabulous part of Hayley history. Cheers, Dave My son hated those interference lines, he would constantly hold the remote control for the video player which had a fine adjust on it. He drove me bonkers, so while he was out one day I put a strip of black adhesive tape across the screen covering the bottom and top few pixels on the picture area, he never noticed until he got his own telly and video player years later.

Hi All -
Here is a tidbit that I happen to have saved regarding the Wisconsin concert . Its origin is from one of the musicians playing in the orchestra that evening. It can be found by Googling The Clarinet BBoard Westenra and is the search result which begins Jul 29, 2004. (About the 3rd one down)

Great! The videos are fine, even if they're not perfect. I didn't care for Ave Maria as much as I hoped. It does not compare with her recording for River of Dreams. She actually sounded a tiny bit off a few times. I think some parts were too low, and low notes probably weren't her strength so much back then. Okay, now I'm going to have to try to write to them (the Wisconsin Concert Orchestra). If they had her there once, they might like to again. Another thing, my dad is from Wisconsin. I could convince him to go back for a visit (with me tagging along, of course), and go to a Hayley concert while we're at it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAfter all, my dad is the one who discovered Hayley first. But now he accuses me of "stalking" her.

Hi Richard -
Thank you very much for supplying the direct link to my post. Learning how to do that is a definite "must" for me. Incidentally, as many times as I have enjoyed looking at that item over the years (I have it bookmarked), I never noticed until yesterday when I was trying to get it on the forum, that by clicking on the blue "William", the poster's full name and e-mail address is revealed. When I saw that, I was reminded of HWI posting by the piper who had once played for Hayley when she was 13, and later supplied a picture. This is far less personal of course, but I wondered whether he knows anything of where that girl is today. He was definitely Hayleywowed that evening seven years ago.

Wisconsin have started using a video of Hayley in their travel publicity.
They even have Dave's Intro write up.

That is interesting. I wonder why they post it on a travel web page? Is that to advertise the Concerts on the Square thing, maybe?

Hi, The last time that she was there, 10 years ago, she performed, with rave reviews, to an audience of 20,000. The Orpheum Theater seats 1,700. She shouldn't have a problem selling that out each day, (with a reasonably priced ticket) if only a fraction of that 20,000 can remember her. BobS
