Hi, Rob and a big welcome from Barcelona, Spain... Been rather busy, so that's why I haven't welcomed you yet. I have never seen Hayley live on a concert yet, but I do hope it will not take long to change! However, even without having met her, I discovered through this forum that while her outside beauty is beyond compare, and her voice is even a bigger and more unique treasure, it's her inside which is the richest and most incredible thing she gives to the world. Stay with us and you'll discover what I mean soon. Michal Hello Michal. Thanks for the welcome, I intend to stay around for a while and I understand what you mean. Regards Rob

Hi everyone, Latest tweet from Hayley - about an hour ago:
I wonder what gala dinner it was? There doesn't seem to be any mention of it in the media so far... maybe it was a private event? Cheers, Jillian
HI Jillian. Well she sounds like she is having fun anyway, A gala dinner for song writers, would be interesting to hear some of the discussions Regards Rob.

I don't think it's so much the girl behind the voice but the voice behind the girl, she just has it. Hello Rob! If you get to meet Hayley, you might change your mind there! Best wishes, Richard Hello Richard. Please don't get my comments wrong, I think Hayley is one very very attractive girl and I doubt if anyone could argue any different and to be honest I am now kicking my self from not staying back and trying to get to meet her, I guess at the time it was more of a pride thing as I could not see myself actually walking up to a performer to ask for an autograph, in my book thats something that teeny boppers do with Justin Beiber. I'm not suggesting that its a bad thing it was just my mind set at the time, but should i get the opportunity again I will get her to endorse some Cd's for me for sure and I am also certain that Hayley is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside but for the moment I will just maintain my stance and be content with her incrediable voice. Regards Rob

Thanks Richard. Definitely a more appropriate thread, I've read quite a few of the posts in here now and I'm touched by what I've read, I'm glad Hayley has touched you in such a way John and that its given you some greater meaning as her music has given me something special. I can relate to Spidermans comment yesterday about others thinking he is obsessed with her, I don't feel it;s an obsession but more an appreciation similar to those that follow the opera or theater, I try not to rave on about Hayley's voice to my friends as they tend to give me a bit of a ribbing. :je I made the horrendous mistake once of admitting to my friends that I am attracted to girls that wear glasses (please no puns as to why I'm an Optometrist as that had nothing to do with it) but since that day if I'm out with friends and a girl walks past wearing glasses you can imagine the ribbing I get ::)and now that I have this appreciation of the more finer aspects of a singers voice I tend to cop the same thing. Come to think of it Hayley would look nice in glasses wouldn't she . But getting back to my original statement; I think the most important thing in how Hayley has had an affect on my life is that I actually HEAR the music now, I don't think it's so much the girl behind the voice but the voice behind the girl, she just has it. Regards Rob.

dont worry about the shortage of ozzie hayley fans... they are so rare in hamilton, most people think im obsessed. Hello Spiderman. ok i totally understand about others thinking your obsessed :je I get the same thing here, what does shock me is I would have thought Hayley would be a national treasure to NZ, I imagined that all New Zealanders would be so proud of her and have to admit that I actually have a feeling of proudness knowing she comes from a country just across the water from us and I have quite a few NZ friends here and I'll admit they have heard of her but are not true fans in the sense. regards Rob PS are we off topic talking about Hayley.

This post has been moved from "Could Hayley Change the World Someday?"Hi. I'm at a loss as to where to actually put this but this seems like an appropriate place at the moment. I have never really been musically minded, if I like a song I will enjoy it, if I don't I wont. But since I've become interested in Hayley's music I have noticed a certain change in myself, I now find I am listening more to the actual singer of a song, comparing their voice and diction, whether i can clearly understand the lyrics etc . I have actually become quite critical of other so called artists but find I am really enjoying my music to a whole different level. regards Rob

[ Ops I just had to modify this post as I spelt Hayley wrong, that would be a hanging offence here wouldn't it its on the list, but there are more serious infractions; I'm sure you'll live a long and healthy life despite the setback and you can console yourself in the knowledge that you've come to the right place to make that mistake... though you may sometimes wonder from our 50 last posts Hi Spiderman. Is it possible that I have inadvertently started an off topic discussion here, I'm a little behind with following your pattern of thought here spiderman , being new I'm kind of feeling my way around trying to get to know a few members and following the various threads which I cannot really comment on knowing so little about the talented lady, but would I be correct in assuming you mean that that this is more like a Jackie Evancho fan site then a Hayley Westenra fan site. I think Ive learn't more about Jackie then I have about Hayley in the last few days but then I'm only new so cannot really comment but I have at least met another Ozzie Hayley fan which I had almost given up on here in Australia. Regards Rob

Hi Rob Hello Grant.
I actually stayed at many different locations, we traveled around quite a bit which was all work related, we also took in France and neighboring countries, its was a great experience but I only got to see Hayley in concert just before I was due to fly home. basically our home base was London, I rather like the UK, but not in winter I much prefer the hot weather and my water sports i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Regards Rob OK, yes, I remember you saying you were on an exchange programme - glad you got to see some of our beautiful country - although it probably didn't seem too beautiful in the middle of winter. Glad you enjoyed your stay though, and got to see Hayley in the process. Best wishes Grant Hello again Grant. Thank you, i did enjoy my time there immensely, you guys are leaders in optics and should be proud of your achievements in that field. I will get back there for a holiday I hope, and perhaps get to see Hayley singing live again. Regards Rob

Hello Tracy. I know what you mean about the Joneses, I loved the episode in which they had a fishing competition and while every one was out catching Barramundi Milton took the helicopter and tried to net a Bull Shark just to get the biggest fish. I was talking to my cousin last night and I JUST happen to mention your name Sonya told me to tell you that she intends to take out the barrel racing at the next rodeo and that your winning days are numbered, she said to tell you she has been practicing I was thinking of flying over there on Friday the 10Th for a few days to catch up with them and get to see how my little God daughter is doing, any chance of meeting in Broken Hill for a coffee and a chance to swap Hayley information. Regards Rob Hi Rob. wow, sounds great, but how about you ring me when you get to Trent and Sonya's and I fly over and have a coffee there with you guys AND if you have enough time Ill take you on a chopper flight back to my place and introduce you to Dad and my horse Flame. Can you ride a horse. can you swim Ok., much love Tracy. ohhh I'm sending you a private message for my contact details. check your messages. Hello Tracy. Thanks, got your info and will contact today. Yes I can ride a horse and water is my second home, I'm an Ozzie remember :je I don't think I have met another Ozzie that cannot swim and with our many many swimming for youngsters programs you can understand why. looking forward to meeting another Hayley Westenra fan. Regards Rob.

Hi Rob Glad you liked the pictures - you were lucky to have a white Christmas whilst you were visiting, we don't get many unless you live in the hillier parts. Where did you actually stay? It's not the cold that's really a problem - it's easy enough to wrap up warm - it's the disruption it causes. Best wishes Grant Hello Grant. Hi Rob. ok I'll admit I watch the Keeping up with the Joneses too even if it is like watching yourself but I love picking Milton to pieces especially for all the illegal things he does in his helicopters LOL, PULLING a surfboard with the helicopter, it;s a wonder they haven't got onto him already . and there's a pilot weight limit for an R22 and there is NO WAY Milton is under that weight . love the show though. Yes I am in partnership with my dad here, but its daughter not daughterS . and there is a couple of photos of me here somewhere but if you want to see a photobucket account I started to show people our outback and dispel a few myths and stuff then click here s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee462/outbacktracy/hope that works I wouldn't call being an Optometrist HUMDRUM and I can understand what you say about helping people, also you might be able to enlighten us with Hayley's sunglasses etc etc and No I don't terrorize animals . NOW, I do know Trent and Sonya Reppan that have a small 80,000 hectare place east of Packsaddle about 200K from broken Hill, they have a daughter about 3 years old I think and run around 500 head of Brahman's, I have competed against Sonya in Gymkhana's and Rodeo's and she is really good, she is good in the saddle, is that the same Trent your referring too. Much love Tracy. Hello Tracy. Hi Tracy, thank you for the welcome and where in the outback do you live, anywhere near the Joneses. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Can I ask what the significance of the helicopter is in your avatar? Regards Rob. Hi Rob. we are Nooo where near the Joneses Rob Coolibah Station is about 1000 K up North West from us and Raine's fathers crocodile farm is a bit further up. My place is only a few hundred K North West of Broken Hill and crosses the border into South Australia and backs onto the Strzlecki reserve, The reason for the chopper is I recently got my private chopper license and bought a little R44 Robinson TURBO chopper, my biggest thrill now is to play aerial dodgems while playing Hayley Westenra wuthering heights at full blast. I now terrorize dingo's and wild camels from the air instead of from my horse,,, just joking. much love Tracy Hello Tracy. Thanks, I love Keeping up with the Joneses, watched every episode so far. I have a cousin living near Broken Hill.I don't suppose you know him ( Trent Reppan) but I have visited his property a couple of times and loved it, its so vast out there and dry but there is a incredible beauty in the starkness of the landscape, it grabs you and makes you feel like you belong to it. I can understand how the Aboriginal people feel about it. So I gather you own your own place out there, Mcleod’s daughters for real, Do you have any photo’s on here of your place and your chopper? I’m just a humdrum Optometrist but I love my work and get to meet a lot of really nice people, It’s very rewarding when you help people especially with there sight. You don’t sound as if you would really terrorize animals Regards Rob.

You can call me Diego, it`s ok. I was playing a game called "Endless Ocean" (Nintend Wii) and that`s when I heard "Prayer" and " The Water is Wide" for the first time. I stopped playing immediately and went online to buy all her albuns. That was one of the smartest things I have ever done in my life. Now I know what music is all about! Thank You Endless Ocean for giving me the opportunity to hear her indescribable voice. And I will do everything in my power to make sure that many brazillians hear her voice! Hello Diego. Ive heard that Hayley was involved in doing the voice for some game, I will have to check that out, cannot now remember where I heard it or read about it. Regards Rob

Thank you for the Welcomes everyone. And welcome Ed and Diegolenin, do you have a shorter version of your name Diegolenin. I live near Gosford on the Central Coast Martin, which is an hour from Sydney down the F3 freeway. I gather not many Ozzie’s on here then. Hi Tracy, thank you for the welcome and where in the outback do you live, anywhere near the Joneses. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Can I ask what the significance of the helicopter is in your avatar? Joe, I probably would never have heard of Hayley if i hadn’t been dragged to her concert, she really is not well known here, I get to talk to a lot of people in my profession and I have yet to meet someone who has heard of her, it seems she is very popular in the UK. But I do spread the word Larry. Regards Rob.
