Yes it relates, as we haven't seen the performance itself, and there's nothing else to talk about XD. Why must the DOC be superior to hayley in anyway...I don't get that comparison. And as Libby said, it isn't good enough for me either XD, hayley's having a new fashion adviser recently I'm guessing....

Thanks alot Martin for the mediafire links! Now about this song, I don't think it's right to say "this song doesn't suit her", a better and acceptable way to put this is "Since Dorris Day is my icon, and that I've listened to her song so many times it became quite irreplaceable and I think Hayley's voice didn't suit it" And I humbly feel, as a non-American listening to both songs for the first time, without no personal biases, Hayley had every nut and bolt to sing this song. She was absolutely high-spirited, had everything required to make this song complete and lively. When I listened to Dorris day, as Martin said, her voice lacked something. (well to put it simply I 'personally' didn't like it, not saying it's bad) I'm a person who strongly feels in the fact that there's no such thing as "original being unbeatable" Sure, it is usually hard to beat it, but with Hayley she proved this fact wrong right from Scarborough Fair, for me. As I said earlier, I completely prefer Hayley's version of Deadwood stage as it has more feel, emotion and liveliness. EDIT: Oops sorry Larry didn't read your latest two posts when I posted this XD EDIT: Cinema Paradiso, Libby you're right, I always thought the orchestration (original piece) was better than the song itself due to something missing, I'm sure it was missing in the studio recording as well. And since they're using the same arrangement...they're likely to use it in future tours too I'm thinking....

YUS! YEEEEEHAAAAAAW XD Hayley rocks, HWI rocks...I'm so glad that I found this place too XD EDIT: After comparing Cinema Paradiso studio and live, I must say hayley's really improving on her Italian pronunciations by MUCH, from what I know of Italian...The live sounded very "VERY" good, all the 'R's are stressed upon, like Semp'rrr'e piu, which was not in the album version. So this is really amazing

That's an understatement, she has the perfect voice for all types of good music XD....she can sing "anything", she's the perfect singer XD. Oh and if anyone puts up all the Hayley songs in mediafire (in some format) or tell me how to download off the mediaplayer, I can make mp3 versions, with all the clapping and dialogue removed (like a complete song) If somebody is already on it, awesome!

(@the deadwood stage) EDIT1: SPRING SPRING SPRING!! OMG........brilliant song XD EDIT2: oh..my....gooodnessss.....Cinema Paradiso is wwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the studio recording omg, so much power! I CANT WAIT FOR PARADISO TOUR! EDIT3: Hmm...after listening to the first 3, this was a 'little' boring XD but she was perfect, XD maybe because she sings this song everywhere she goes, and that I manage to listen to everyone of the performances XD. But this is the best performance EDIT4: Very moving song.... EDIT5: Wow..the moment hayley's voice popped in....what a delight XD She's better than EVERY other classical singer out there, wait correction, every other SINGER...yes. No videos ?

Well as a musician myself, I know that instrumental pieces cannot be completely used as it is for a song. That was one thing that was bothering me with Nella Fantasia, it used the exact Gabriel's Oboe arrangement. Especially the obvious "Nella fantasia" notes. It's weird to say this in text, but I will anyway, it goes Ta da da da daa, ta da da da da ta da da (all notes except the last are equal in length), while in Hayley's it's Ta daa da da da, which is perfect. I mean it's simply amazing that Ennio actually made "vocal" arrangements for this album. Hence why I strongly say, "Whispers in a dream" is the original, official vocal version of Gabriel's Oboe, no matter how many sang Nella fantasia.

Me too! All her dresses are really beautiful! I never think any is ugly, I absolutely love the Red sparkly dress thing, such an incredible design. But it's just that I've seen her wear it too many times, and omg Libby that pink Joe Callita (or w/e) dress would be perfect for the concert itself....I already had dreams of her performing amalia por amor in that dress....But I hope for Paradiso official tour it's all new dresses XD
Why retire though? I think it'd be better if we she wears different dresses successively, and use the dresses for a loooong time here and there instead of using them up in a line and then retire. XD Well I think it's awkward only for diehard fans like us because we stalk her in every thing she does XD....so I guess it's normal haha

Libby you're totally right, the piano isn't the thing for this song. Firstly the piano and the singing didn't seem to match so greatly....and the sustained tone of the strings (oboe/ensemble violin) is what accompanies her voice best on this song, the mood and feel. But we know how awesome songbird was with the piano
