That is indeed a gorgeous pic! That day was nothing but perfection, great dress, make up, vocals, and most of all HAIR! It's so much better than the short one, I'm glad she's letting it grow, and not to mention, back to blondish hair. (and the flower hairband)

Libby, ha! That's cool : D
Martin, that's brilliant! I always wondered why people don't record audio separately, too much work I guess later on to match it up and put it together. But thanks for the effort, I've always loved your videos, and thanks for sharing that performance of La Califfa, in my opinion, the best performance of that song she's ever done (That and Jillian's NZ videos) Lovely video, great singing.

No I get what you mean, I've experienced live concerts of other singers too, if you have a good seat and the sound system and acoustics are great, the singer shouldn't feel too distant, which is the problem with fan recordings, the audio recording abilities of a camera or phone is just not good enough to capture what we hear live, the 3Dness of the sound that you mention, is flattened. And For some reasons most of these cameras and phones cut out a lot on the bass to improve speech quality and is more treble/higher frequencies. For example if you all of Frank's videos recent videos are sharp on the ears, like too much high frequency makes her voice sound screechy. So by rounder I meant, where the girth of the voice is, Hayley's tone that we're familiar with in higher quality recordings. From my experience, these cam videos and phone videos are far from the live sound. Not exactly, all those professionally shot and recorded videos, have a great mix that have a rounder sound that's not too treblee. The sound I was going for was more like that, like let's say they hopefully release professional videos of this concert, you'd see how that sound would be closer my video (ofcourse much better quality, since the audio is directly from the mixer), than the cam one. There! I managed to find a cam recording and professional recording of the same live performance, CAM recording: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U47kZDKnf7AProfessional recording: youtu.be/DfGsp09L1hk?t=2m34sSee the difference in the tone of her voice? The first one might seem 'sharper' but that's not essentially what the audience is hearing live as well. In the professional recording you can see how her tone becomes 'rounded' or 'thicker', this is closer to Hayley's actual tone when heard live during that performance. It's a common effect on not just Hayley's vocals but anyone's in general, the bass of the voice is lacking and vocals sound thinner than they actually are or sounded live. Not only that because of the nice cancellation in many cameras and phones, the vocal frequencies are generally boosted and the background is subdued, which is why I had to layer another separate backing track. But in any case that's not to say what you enjoy and don't, I can totally understand someone can prefer the raw cam recording also There's some level of authenticity in that rawness that I too enjoy sometimes. So I'm in now way trying to tell you that, my edited one is what you should like, haha! Anyway thanks for elaborating it

Thanks for the honest response Libby!, Did you listen to it using good earphones? The difference will be more apparent, there, to be specific, some noise cancellation, removal of unwanted low and high frequencies, and boosting some mid frequencies where hayley's vocals sound rounder and not screechy like some fan recordings make it seem. And on top of that layering of the high quality instrumental would have given more clarity to the bgm. Listen to the Bridge of both versions for most obvious difference in sound quality. "If there comes a time when you have...." portion And thank you so much Tiger09!

Wow! Thank you so much comet for such an amazing response! That's exactly what I was going for with the twin view thing haha! And absolutely, I really enjoyed doing it, and I was thinking why I didn't do more for Hayley and her fans, should keep doing more of these I guess.
Thank you, thank you so much for that, it gave me goosebumps just reading it and thinking about that! But when I am finally at a Hayley concert I don't think I'll have the strength to hold a camera!

Sneaky audio haha! No actually, I had purchased a high quality karaoke of the Japanese version of the song to do a cover of it sometime. I remembered that I had it after I uploaded the first video, so I went to it immediately, to my surprise it was the exact same arrangement! They hadn't changed a single thing in Hayley's version, except it was slightly faster, Hayley's was 76 BPM, and the original was 72, so I beatmatched the karaoke, and overlayed it on the live recording, which is why the instruments sound fuller in the video I uploaded, you can hear all the bass, piano and stuff clearly. So the high quality instrumental is running throughout : D, and it naturally filled up the intro that was missing too. And I don't think the audio was out of sync, hmm but I can't be entirely sure too XD

Thanks to 許志誼's amazing High quality video (sideways) of Yuki No Hana, I've now put together a video for y'all to enjoy She sang this song one other time, but we couldn't get a proper video of it, so this is like the first proper live version so I had to do it! Some Complex image stabilization had to be done to fix the shaky cam, and some studio magic XD and Tada! And ofcourse cleaned up the audio for a better and richer sound. Hayley looked and sounded perfect, so I couldn't help but put some effort on this! Enjoy everyone! And HWI is free to share this video or put it among your other videos Just a little something I can do. EDIT: Reuploaded the video with much better audio quality For those who've already listened, please do relisten.

I'll save you the trouble Dave, it was such a beautiful performance so I was tempted to fix not only the orientation, but also stabilized it, color corrected and most importantly cleaned up the audio, enhanced the stereo, so it should sound much better now too! And ofcourse added a slideshow of the pics we got too, now and then! I wish we had a sharper video, but the audio should be really good now! for an unprofessional one!
Her vocals are on point, such a perfect performance!
Enjoy everyone!
EDIT: Oh! Looks like you've already uploaded one XD

I understand you being skeptical about these things, but what do you mean "Maybe", "hope"? She did say "New beginnings, new songs", I don't think we need any more assurance that she's back for good, no maybes, so let's rejoice fully without a doubt : D Coz it's time to be really happy! And Hayley Eastenra haha! XD

It is! complex scales and phrasing coupled with the high range that the song demands makes it quite challenging. Most of the song is sung in the head voice, really high pitched, and since Hayley has great resonance in her higher registers she sings this song effortlessly. Since you mentioned 'precision' though, a great term at that, Her Live from New Zealand performance was more perfect compared to this one, but it seems like she really knows what she's singing in this, so I love both performances because of that. But then best of both worlds would be this one, thanks to Jillian for doing an amazing job at the video...
Perfect vocals and emotion.
