Thanks for the response Joyce.Charlie only found true success in later life. He used to be a maths teacher. As you will see he writes much of his own material and his songs have been recorded by many artists including Daniel O`Donnell ,Foster and Allen and Dominic Kirwan.Among my personal favourites are Fireside Dreaming and Heaven Knows.
Hope you enjoy!.

The singer /songwriter from Liverpool is certainly worthy of a thread. In my opinion he has written some of the finest ballads of modern time.

There was a clip of Hayley wearing the orange dress at the end of this weeks songs of praise stating she was on next week. This is clearly a saved recording.

Its great to see so many Hwi members have similair taste in music. One of my favourite tunes from my younger days was White Horses from the TV show. The version by Andrea is better than the original. For all you old timers from the 60s the English dubbing version of the show was lost!.Andrea's version had a very limited number of plays in the uk as part of a Clarkes shoe campaign on the TV.After hearing this I found out the artist and bought the album.

Sounds like a nasty viral chest infection I had two years ago.The only cure is time but if you do read this Hayley try vitamin c tablets with Zinc. It worked for me.If it is the same bug you feel better after five weeks however, the virus is only dormant and returns so be careful.Full recovery after three months.

Hayley a 1940'S girl at heart?.
The evidence is her style of dress on the night all of which could have been from that era.Secondly the inclusion of Now is the Hour.I think Hayley would have made a great big band singer.Perhaps I can leave you with the possible thought of Hayley singing "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley "whilst in the black and gold dress?.

f.a.o. Danny.
Sorry to hear about the failure to get a sponsor for this years event. This seems like the type of event my old employer the Co-operative Insurance Society may wish to get involved in if,we are lucky enough to have the event again. You would need to write with full details directly to the head office at Miller Street, Manchester. Best of luck,
Stephen.

Thank's to Grant,Martin and Joe for your feedback and of course to all contributors.I was very surprised at Hayley knowing the song and giving a small rendition of the Rainbow Connection which apparently was captured by Martin.Luckily I did not try and sing it !.My travel limit will only be to Hanley and hence posts will be restricted. For those of you not aquinted with the song it came from the Muppets and was sung by Kermit the frog .It's clear to see why Hayley would be a big improvement!.A superb rendition of it can be found by Karen Carpenter on the Carpenters album "The Way we Were".It was originally an outtake from the Made in America album. I hope Hayley returns again next year when I will see you again.
Regard's, Stephen.

hi to all I met at the concert last night and thank's to Grant for getting me logged on. Hayley seemed to take well to the sggestion that she recorded "THE RAINBOW CONNECTION" although she must get thousands of requests. At least she knew the words and hummed the intro. She deserved a medal for hanging on so long after the show considering the journey ahead.
