The problem with pledge music is you never know what you are getting. Sure, if you rate the artist enough then you might do it. But the artists I would trust like that I could count on the fingers of one hand. How do you know it will be worth the money. You don't until you hear it.

Never had a problem with Azazon, who have my card details on record. Makes buying from them easy. My Paypal account got "compromised" I was told and asked to re-register. Wasn't sure if it was a scam so didn't bother, altough it might have been them since I can no longer use my Paypal account. Tried to re-register, but the amount of information they wanted was mindblowing - life's to short for forms like that. I could enter my card details many times in the time that would have taken.

Probably said a lot in the trendy London circles in which Hayley lives and moves. For those of us of a certain age though, it has World War II connotations, as in some ranks within the German military.

Well, it certainly isn't Jones. Those girls and I have a lot in common. Like a five letter surname with an "x" as the central letter. And growing up in Peterborough.

Well, I would guess she would have an Easter break from whatever she is doing in NY. So my guess is that Sophie welcomed her home with the flowers.

Hayley has done a lot of folk in her time, and she is rather good at it.
Scarborough Fair is folk. She moves trough the Fair is folk. Traditional Irish music is folk. Joni Mitchell has often been described as folk. And of course those Maori songs are folk. Fado is also folk, so you might even stretch that definition to Amalia Por Amor. It is even possible that some of her Japanese and Chinese stuff might qualify too (I don't know the history of most of those songs).

I fully expect that Bob. Her recent live shows have included very little that you could describe as classical. Much more into folk and quality pop, and leaning more and more towards jazz is what I'm seeing.

No, I don't think so Simba. Libby was stating that she didn't think the album Treasure/Celtic Treasure was influenced by her work with CW and I agreed with her. The "other way round" is again speculation on my part. It would seem to me that with her own Celtic album about to be released, being associated with CW would help to promote it. I think that probably did happen in the USA at least where many of Hayley's fans first heard of her as part of CW.

I tend to agree Libby. I think Treasure must have been done before she joined CW. And Hayley has always said that the Celtic influence came from her family background and that was what the album celebrated. The dates tend to indicate that too.
Hayley joined CW in August 2006 and was with them well into 2007. Treasure was released in the UK in February 2007. So it seems unlikely that Treasure was recorded after she got involved with CW. I suppose it is just about possible that she fitted in the recording sessions between touring, she was alternating one month and one month off with Meav as I recall, but it seems much more likely to me that it was recorded before she was involved with CW.
In fact it may well be that her interest in CW was sparked by her research into Celtic music that she did while creating Treasure, rather than the other way around.

Ah, so now we know where they are. Sunny Hunny. I'm sure I recognised that earlier street photo too, but couldn't quite place it. Those striped cliffs are distinctive.
It is the only East Coast resort with a west facing beach.

Yes, the first thing you need to do is win ArtistSignal. That $10,000 prize goes a long way towards financing an album and some publicity. That plus the lady's sheer determination did wonders for Rebecca Newman.
