Yesterday I heard a radio advert for this concert on RTE Radio 1. I was surprised, as the concert is already sold out. Maybe it will also be recorded for future broadcast on the 'In Concert' series as it is being presented by RTE Performing Groups and with the RTE Concert Orchestra. I am really looking forward to the concert, and to meeting everyone. See you soon!

I have just read that Part 1 will be broadcast on next Monday ! It is broadcast at 9pm after the News and about 50 mins long. Presumably Part 2 will be the following week "HALEY WESTENRA IN CONCERT (Part 1): 9th July 2007 Part 1 of a concert recorded at the National Concert Hall, Dublin on 13 June with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, leader Mia Cooper, conducted by David Brophy. Producer: Aidan Butler " That was very quick ! You can listen online at www.rte.ie/radio1/inconcert/ or it will be archived afterwards for streaming.

I am very disappointed that I missed this Late Late Show at the time, but you must understand, it is a show you either love or hate. And I do not love it. The presenter is the problem (for me), but usually I would expect to hear if there was something of interest on it, and then I usually have to watch the entire show to see the piece I am interested in at the end. I am surprised I heard nothing at the time, but well spotted Stephany (again !).

In Dublin, I found two copies in Waterstones, and two copies in Hodges Figgis, both in Dawson Street and priced €25.15. I also found two copies in Dubray Books in Grafton Street priced €26.15. I enquired in Easons and they had not even got it listed !

Having already made my first posts, I think I should introduce myself. I have lived in Dublin all my life and am a big live music fan. My serious interest in music began in the late '90s when I discovered Eva Cassidy. I thought she had the most incredible voice, range, phrasing, guitar playing and interpretation of songs. When I went to find out more I discovered that Eva had died at 33 years of age in 1996, so I would never hear her sing 'live'. I got into correspondence with her cousin, who runs a website dedicated to Eva, and she encouraged people to go to live music gigs in their area. Eva had often played to almost empty houses. I am interested in music of all sorts, and when I hear an artist I like, I try to get to see them live, and often get to meet them afterwards. Live music is well catered for in Dublin with plenty venues. I have admired Hayley's voice since I first heard it, but for some reason never expected to see her 'live', and certainly never expected to meet her. And now I have done both !
I would again like to thank everyone for making me feel so at home, and welcome here, and to thank Hayley for pointing me in your direction !
