[/green] The luckiest people at Newmarket! No, they didn't win the trifecta...they are our friends. Which no amount of money can buy! I really love Denise's hat, George. I wonder how grand her hat would be at Ascot ! :je What a lovely picture. I'll want to print this out! Thanks to you all!! Best wishes, Joe

Many Thanks from me too for all the beautifully positioned shots. I know there is some 'luck' involved when achieving a 'good' shot but there's an awful lot of experience & skill. Contributing factors used to include price of film but that's gone. Response time is also a bit of a nuisance with digitals. Opportunity too. I notice Stuart you had ready access to not only straight on but both pure profiles both sides & 3/4 shots both sides. Very handy. pict0182id0 with all the fingers may be my favourite but there are so many 'wow's that it's hard to pick. I also tend to favour head or head & shoulders shots where possible. A vote might be interesting but not till later...you guys might need a break!! We all really appreciate your labours & skill. Graemek I totally endorse everything you say, Graemek. These guys make a wonderful contribution and I am sure those who do not have the remotest chance of half of what some of us in the UK have been priviledged to gain over the last year or two appreciate their bringing Hayley that much closer to them. What was also a relief but irritating were the false signals sent out. In the programme it actually refers to photography being acceptable BUT PLEASE DON'T USE FLASH ROUND THE HORSES! Whereas at the outset their web site implied a thorough investigation of packges and a definite 'no no' to any form of audio visual recording equipment, so I went naked (technologically speaking!). However, you guys achieved superbly.

Hi Guys Here are a few shots taken of Hayley after the concert. The sun was very bright and low in the sky which made it difficult for Hayley to take her hand away from her eyes! She was having a great time! Stuart

Hi Guys.
I don't think anyone has picked this up yet, from the Cambridge Evening News. Hayley wows race punters
CHART sensation Hayley Westenra dazzled Newmarket race-goers, giving them a grandstand finale to the day's racing.
The 19-year-old New Zealand singer, UNICEF ambassador and international classical music superstar, performed from the members' enclosure at the July course for thousands of punters.
They had enjoyed the second day of the July meeting before turning their attention to a free concert from a singer who has sung for Tony Blair, President George Bush and the Queen.
She was accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra for an hour-long show straight after the last race of the day.
The audience sat on the members' lawn and some brought picnics and chairs to give the racecourse a "stately home" feel for the evening.
The concert and the day's racing was sponsored by Classic FM.
Gaynor Haxby, a spokeswoman for Newmarket Racecourse, said: "It was wonderful evening for everyone and Hayley was fantastic.
"She is a real talent and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
"It capped off another fantastic day's racing at Newmarket races."
