Aha, the series of concerts is growing... but it's still before the 17th, so I'm still right about that being the last concert, unless she adds another one in New Zealand, which is possible, but I'm guessing she'll begin her holiday time with her family after that. Notice that none of these concerts is a full Hayley concert; she's not the main act for any of them. Better than nothing, I suppose. Not too concerning, since she has no album to promote anyway, YET.
It's funny you crave something you've had loads of over the years, but us, have had only a bite or 2. But I'm very grateful that my first one was a real Hayley concert. Which is why I don't feel the desire to go all the way to NY to see her sing just a few Christmas songs, and other artists I don't care about. The time to go would have been the last time she was there with far more interesting singers along with her.
Yes, me too. It is in a difficult place for me, you can't drive there without serious expense, parking, congestion charge etc. I could take the camper van and camp at Crystal Palace, but the public transport from there to the RFH looks complicated, involving several buses and trains. And perhaps the risk of being stranded if I'm late leaving. Trains to Leicester stop too early. So I ask myself is it worth it for perhaps only a couple of songs from Hayley? I think I'll wait and see if anything else in the UK materialises.
I'm the same as you, so I'm stalling on this concert at the moment. Bryn Terfel? Hmmm...
Bryn is pretty much top of the heap in that sector and to give him he due he is brilliantly distinctive. the female presenters on RTE Lyric fm go week at the knees for him. If I could get Hayley played as easily and as often she would be in the charts constantly here in Ireland
" But you make me forget so very much.
I forget to pray for the Angels
and then the Angels forget to pray for us. " ......Leonard Cohen
Well, she certainly seems to perform in Ireland most often in the last couple of years, so you must be doing something right.
Bryn was on with the Mormon TC some years ago now now. I can handle it for a while, but too loud for me. I like gentler voices like Mario's, where he can be very loud and powerful, but also soft and gentle. And his loudness is just right, doesn't sound like a shouting, masculine man-beast. LOL I respect Bryn for what he does, but he's not exactly Pavarotti, who I can handle.
