Hello everyone, I don't know if there's a thread already dedicated to cover versions of songs that are originally performed by Hayley, if so, I couldn't find it easily. Well, if it exists, hope the mods will move the post there. I found a cover of Never Saw Blue, by a very young (13, I think) singer that calls herself Rain. Obviously, it is very far away from Hayley's version, but it sounds nice enough to me, specially considering how young the singer is. I thought I'd share it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P97sOOmDbxEMichal

Well, I know it's flattering to Hayley, but I don't know why thaey waste their time. Either they have the delusion that they can sing those songs better than Hayley, or they are trying to cash in on the market that has never heard of Hayley.
There is never any point in doing a cover unless it is better than the original. Hayley has never failed to deliver on that. But as for those others, I haven't heard them but I have my doubts...

PS Now let's hear any singer improve on any song from Paradiso! Once again Hayley has left them all in the dust.
PPS Who will be the first to cover a song with a lyric written by Hayley?

Martin, Martin...
These people on youtube are mostly amateur singers, not professionals. They're people who like to sing, who like Hayley's songs (I assume), and are just trying to sing them. Trying to sing them doesn't mean they think they're better than Hayley.
As for Jackie singing those songs, of course they're not nearly as pleasant as Hayley's versions to me, at least. But a little 10 (is she 11 now?) girl isn't singing a song because she thinks she's better than someone. She's singing it because she likes Hayley, she likes the song, and she can sing.
I don't really like the idea of other people singing Hayley's songs, because it seems like it would take the attention off Hayley somewhat, and they'll be compared. Hayley's already compared with her other songs like May it Be and all those.
I don't even bother listening to those covers of Hayley songs. If I want to hear a Hayley song, I listen to Hayley.
