Well done Holland. Sounds like the party has started all around the country! I suppose when a football team is doing well, and the whole place is talking about it, its hard not to get caught up in the excitement, whether you like football or not So, three teams left in the World Cup, and we have HWI members in each country. I wonder who'll be the happiest come Sunday night?

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Congrats to Holland for reaching the final. Paul the Octopus was on the TV One News tonight and he picked Spain to win. I hope he is wrong as I want a Germany Holland final.

WOW, what a match! Well, all the respects for the Germans, they really played well and fought bravely, but I think Spain deserved to win.

YEAH.....so the final will be Spain against The Netherlands.... HUP.....HOLLAND....HUP !!!!For sunday evening i will prepare something for the BBQ, with lots of drinks, and of course the Television outside....somewhere on the Balcony, the weatherconditions are going to be very fine....up to 30 degrees!! Yesterday evening about 12 million people watched in the Netherlands the match live on television......the best viewed TV program/broadcast ever, in Dutch TV history !!!!! (The Netherlands have about 16.6 million inhabitants) I will have a problem next Tuesday........i organised a day out, with friends, we are having free traintickets for travelling through the Netherlands, and our plan was to vist Alkmaar, and on our way back a stop in Amsterdam..... Amsterdam is planning a big welcome party for the Dutch Football team, hopefully as Worldchampion, and they expect that more than 1 million are coming over to Amsterdam........... , and this is going to happen ......next tuesday !!! We already made our decision, not to travel to Amsterdam. Greetz DUTCH JOYCE

Congratulations Holland for reaching the final! I hope you make it now on Sunday! Unfortunately Germany lost on Wednesday. But I have to say that Spain played the far better match and deserved the final. So congratulations to Spain as well! The advantage of losing the semi-final is that there's another match anyway. If not the final then it's the match for the 3rd place. At least good for the fans... So Paul the octopus was right again. I think calamari will become the new national dish now, haha. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas
