Don't cry for me Argentina!!!Woohoo!!! I thought it would become a hard and close match. But I've never expected 4-0 against Argentina! Spain in the semi-final will be very hard because Spain is a great team. A dream final would be Netherlands - Germany! Well, Wednesday evening we'll know more. Good luck for the Netherlands on Tuesday! HUP HOLLAND!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Who is Paul the Octopus? A TV personality in NZ or something?
Dutch reporters are/were asking South African Psychics for their prediction for NL. The last one said NL would win from Brazil and that player number 10 would score....it happened.....
I'm bad at this, cause I thought they would've lost against Slovakia already....
I'm curious for the result for Spain vd Germany!

Since the U S is out I'm rooting for Holland. Although I also wish Germany well since my ancestors came from Germany.

Spain's playing the Czech Republic! Just kidding. The Wimbledon finals are on right now, by the way, Rafael Nadal (Spain) vs. Tomas Berdych (Czech). Tennis is also a beautiful game, if you football fans want a bit of a change

Hi Joanne,
Yeah I've been watching some of the Men's Finals, also the Tour De France.
I've been watching some of the World Cup replays on ESPNClassic channel.
I see in Target's ad in the Sunday papers that they have a sale on World Cup gear.
Best wishes,
Joe

I'm not really following Tennis matches. Though I always like to do some tennis when I was younger wehn we were on holiday. I hope that the octopus can also predict something for NL? It seems he only predicts until Germany will play against NL... We'll see on tuesday if NL can stay in the competition... Sharon

Congratulations to the Dutch, a brilliant win over Brazil today. Got to feel for Ghana, so close against Uruguay tonight. I like Holland but I have to back Spain - I have £10 double on Spain with David Villa as top scorer. Dazza You bet is looking good, Dazza ! Personally I've never had much luck with my bets. I seem to jinx things ever since as a wee boy I bet on the Titanic to be the fastest liner across the Atlantic ! ! I feel a bit better about England's defeat now. We probably lost to the 2010 World Champions. If it hadn't been for Robert Green's mistake we would have topped the group and I think we would have beaten Ghana and Uruguay and reached the semi against the Dutch. But if you had told me before the tournament that Messi, Rooney and Kaka wouldn't score a goal between them, I would never have believed you !

Spain vs Germany will be the re-edition of the European final 2 years ago. Will be a very, very interesting match! Spain surely is playing very well, dominating the matches but not scoring too much. If Spanish goal-sense awakens, the match against Germany will be even more interesting, and if Germany doesn't play a defensive game as most teams played against Spain, it will help too.

You beat me to it Joyce!
Are people just as crazy there in Zwolle? Case they are yelling their lungs out in Groningen....
Who's next to get in the finals? The expected Germany? Or Spain? One or the other would make a very exciting and thrilling match!
Hup Holland Hup Holland!!!!
