Israel Kamakawiwo'ole...(Hawaiian, died 1997).......TimJ Yes, I've heard of him. He is commonly known as "Iz" and is frequently at the top of the world music charts in America. Israel's medley "Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" was covered by Canadian singer Aselin Debison.

Hi Folks. I have been listening to Fiona's two (Signed) Cd's and the video since Shepherds Bush. I feel right at home listening to Fiona's music as if I had known it all my life. Yet it sounds fresh and experimental in places, makes you want to kick of your shoes and dance. Energetic, fresh and exciting. A little like Rodrigo and Gabriella.
I am glad that Hayley is in such good musical company as Fiona and the band who back her on stage, they will introduce her to musical styles that young people seldom get a chance to hear.

Right now I'm listening to a song called "Molendinar" by William Jackson, who is a Celtic Music composer. It's excellent!

I am listening to *The Platinum Collection* of Maria Callas ! 3 discs. Her voice is of course unique as were all her performances !! Her first Aria from disc 1 is from *Madama Butterfly* recorded in 1954 !!! It is absolutely intensely glorious ! Pure bliss ! Of course Hayley's rendition is also glorious, but there is no need to compare...each have their own unique merit. Love, Marianne

Well, right now it is a Kenny Everett show from 1981, as part of BBC Radio 2's 40th anniversary celebration. That guy was a genius, probably the best DJ I ever heard. I can remember him from his pirate radio days back in the 60S. Unfortunately he died young, from that terrible disease AIDS.. He just played Chicago's "If you leave me now".

I'm listening to Hayley's Pure 2CD. For the first time in ages, I watched the 'Live from New Zealand' DVD this evening and I have been Hayleywowed all over again! Coincidentally, I did the same thing two days ago, Roger. It was the first time I watched again this DVD after seeing Hayley performing live at Shepherds Bush. It was very interesting to see the way she moved on the stage when she was a bit younger. Her presence on stage was - and still is - very impressive. And although I had seen the DVD multiple times before, I was also once again 'Hayleywowed' to the maximum! Stephany

I am listening to my newest CD by Giorgia Fumanti *from the heart*. She has a most peaceful voice ...quite unique as well !! She is a myspace friend. I really love her Debut Album ! I highly recommend her...she sings 6 English songs and 6 Italian songs. Last Saturday we were listening to Hayley's *Dublin Concert* in the car...over and over again !! Love, Marianne
