Hayley tweeted this about three hours ago: Richard From Hayley: I lightened the photograph slightly. Richard Hello Richard and everyone, Thanks for keeping us up to date with the TV show tweets! I have been discussing with Maya in Japan the possibility of recording this TV show for us when it is broadcast and I am delighted to say that he does intend to do that, so I have started this new thread in the Media board. When Maya has uploaded it, I will put it on the site and on Youtube very soon afterwards. He has confirmed that the show will be broadcast on Friday 27 November 2009 on NHK analogue TV, and on 3 December on NHK digital TV. Thank you, Maya! Dave

Hi Comet Thanks Grant
I'm amazed at what you guys can do with photos.
I saw that picture the other day and thought "Pity about the lighting" and passed over it.
Now it IS worth downloading. It's possible to work miracles with a bit of Photoshopping! Looking at the end result, I'm guessing there was a window to the left of the photographer which has confused the flash into thinking it was lighter than it actually was. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
Looking at the shadows, I'm not convinced flash was used at all!

Hi all. Regarding the program, there is an introduction at NHK's homepage. Sorry that everything is written in Japanese www.nhk.or.jp/yumecon/Hayley sings accompanied by The Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra which is one of the biggest orchestras in Western Japan. I am now ready to record the program and I will ftp to Dave with the highest quality. Maya.

In advance, please provide a .wmv file if possible. Thank you very much! Hi Libby. Yes, I can provide you the .wmv file. Due to the limitation of my server, it will not be a big file and the quality of the video may not be as good as the one which will be sent to Dave by FTP requiring more than an hour. Anyway, I will let you know soon the URL where you can down load the .wmv file. Best wishes. Maya

Hi Maya, I think Libby was referring to something I said when posting a couple of my recent videos, which is that I would (if asked) post a .wmv version in addition to my usual divX version, which some members cannot play. So Libby has asked in advance and of course, I can do that at the same time as I process your video when received. The file size can be larger than your server will hold, so the quality should be similar to what you upload to me. Libby, please let us know that is what you meant as it could save maya some work (I have to process it anyway). Cheers, Dave

I just have sent you a personal message that I was FTPing you the part1 file which is Pokare kare ana. It is just finished. The video is 640x480 2MB .wmv file. If you were OK to provide Libby what is OK to her, it would be better than what I could send her poor quality version directly. Anyway I will FTP you the second file which is Amazing Grace in several minutes. Best wishes. Maya

I have left Pokare and Amazing Grace until tomorrow (well much later today!) as we have many videos of them... but the third song that you mentioned was a nice surprise so I stayed up to upload it to YouTube... and I won't give away the surprise just yet! It's a only shortened version (the surprise song!) but it's very nice. It can be found here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQZxYntLDJQThe others will appear here later, as I said. Goodnight all! Dave
