There are lots of non-English people bhere too Sharon, and in my experience they too are very nice people! I've met several of them and never found anyone I didn't like.

O don't get me wrong, I did not mean it like that. I truely believe that many foreign (non-English) people (here) are great! I've been in England once and had great experience with the English people there... I did not want to say that the others weren't nice. I was just talking about a good experience I had... Sorry if I made anyone uncomfortable... Sharon

Hi Sharon,
Sorry, didn't mean to make YOU uncomfortable. The point is I think that Hayley attracts nice people of whatever nationality. And there are some pretty unpleasant people in England too you know. You only have to read the newspapers. But I doubt that any of them are Hayley fans.

I know in every country are you have a few 'nasty people'. Dutch folks ain't always a delight to be with either... I did not want to give a bad feeling to anyone. I am not a person who criticize a lot. I'm a bit a softy, so that's why I feel guilty right away... I'm like a dog with a very great 'will to please' i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHayley's music is just very 'friendly' music, so that's why it attracts all very nice people....no doubt about that! Getting more philosophical, Hayley's music is almost exclusivly love songs. No, not all boy/girl stuff, but about real love, love for people, God, nature or whatever. Those are the songs she chooses to sing, and it says a lot about the sort of person that she is. But the people who are attracted by this are those to whom love is important. And if love is important to you, you will try to be kind to others. That, I think, is why she attracts "nice" people.

I got it Martin That's what I meant with 'Friendly music' in an 'easy' way. My English is not what you call 'the greatest' so I keep it short and easy i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifYou are very detailed... Sharon

Sharon, your English is fine! As for being detailed, brain like a computer... It comes fom 40 years of programming them.
Best Wishes

Well thank you! I don't even have half of the experience. But if I was a little better with English, I would have said it little differently at the beginning.

Hayley has an impact on me almost daily. This week is a good example. I'm currently in a very stressful situation at work with multiple deadlines and insufficient resources. Yesterday was particularly stressful as I was trying to write a paper while on an overcrowded and noisy airplane. After about 2 hours I gave up and began listening to Hayley's music. The stress and frustration seemed to melt away and I was able to then concentrate on my task.
I am reminded of a quote often attributed to one of my favorite American heros, Benjamin Franklin. It only requires a slight modification and I'm sure Mr. Franklin would not mind since he loved music and all things of beauty.
'Hayley is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.'

Absolutely right Bill. I have said the same myself. I didn't know that Benjamin Franklin beat me to it

Absolutely right Bill. I have said the same myself. I didn't know that Benjamin Franklin beat me to it Martin. Hi Martin, The actual quote that is broadly attributed to Benjamin Franklin is: "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy". He may have actually said this but there is apparently no written record of it. So I believe you can lay claim to it if you wish. The quote may be a mutation of what he wrote to André Morellet in a letter in 1779: "Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, there it enters the roots of the vines, to be changed into wine, a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy." (Source: Isaacson, Walter. Benjamin Franklin: An American Life. New York: Simon and Schuster, 2003. p.374) Either way - "Hayley is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" sums it up for me. This post has been moved from "Could Hayley Change the World Someday?"Hi. I'm at a loss as to where to actually put this but this seems like an appropriate place at the moment. I have never really been musically minded, if I like a song I will enjoy it, if I don't I wont. But since I've become interested in Hayley's music I have noticed a certain change in myself, I now find I am listening more to the actual singer of a song, comparing their voice and diction, whether i can clearly understand the lyrics etc . I have actually become quite critical of other so called artists but find I am really enjoying my music to a whole different level. regards Rob
