Hi All,
Many thanks for the excellent coverage of this event, I really appreciate the excellent photos and yes Grant you excelled yourselt with the last three.
Glad to see Martin and Mark at work with their new cameras and Marian's video is very special.
After last years 'scrum' it was good that Hayley was able to spent some time with HWI members before the concert.

Hi Marian
Just got around to downloading your video of Hayley talking to us - what a treat to have a little record of the event like that - I will treasure it!
I mentioned that Hayley said she had been going out for picnics and she confirmed that there had only been one. I also asked if she knew what she would be singing in Glasgow and she said she didn't but would be deciding this week.
Best wishes Grant

Hi Graeme It looks like Hayley's re-adjusting her hair. I'm sure Jillian is correct. Hayley had just got to the red carpet for her turn with 'the professionals' and I guess she felt she needed both hands to make the required adjustment to her hair. I included that picture because it showed more detail of Hayley's dress with hands and arms out of the way - I hope Hayley is not offended by it Best wishes Grant

Thanks for the Video Marian. It adds something to see Hayley actually moving about in that dress, exce;;ent as the still photos are. And as has been said, a typical Hayley moment with her fans. It is nice to be reminded of what that is like!

Hello everyone Just finished watching the Classical Brits on TV - not quite the same as being there, so it didn't have the same impact as last year and, of course, without Hayley performing it wouldn't have anyway! A couple of general observations:- I was surprised to hear Dame Kiri speak - she didn't sound Kiwi! Hayley Mills looks a lot older than I remember her! I found the Royal Scots presentation and the one to Jose Carreras quite moving I also thought Katherine Jenkins first performance dress was similar in style to Hayley's Celtic green one and wonder if it might be from the same designer. Any thoughts Jillian? Now to a confession. I have deliberately been avoiding all the interest in Faryl, that is, until I listened to the Sunday mail CD and I have to admit that other than Hayley and Jonathan, she is by far the best thing on it (although I generally enjoyed the whole CD). But tonight, Faryl stole the show for me - she should have had another number to sing in my opinion - she does have a beautiful voice and I may just have to buy her CD to check her out properly. Faryl's performance tonight was a credit to her - she didn't seem the slightest bit nervous and, as far as I could tell, didn't put a foot, or a note for that matter, wrong. I was concerned however, that the dancers may knock her off stage at any moment! Well done Faryl!Best wishes Grant P.S. I was a bit disappointed that we only got three very fleeting glimpses of Hayley and I didn't see Martin once!

Hi Grant I agree totally with all your observations about the Classical Brits. I too was surprised by how good Faryl's voice actually is. I hadn't heard her sing at all since last years BGT, so I was bowled over by it. As you say, I just wish that they had given her another slot - I would like to have heard more! Yes, a little disappointing that we only got a few glimpses of Hayley throughout the show and there was no panning round the audience like last year - so no site of any HWI'ers Still, a good show and I enjoyed watching it. Best wishes Mark

Thanks for the video Cathy - Can anybody her lip read? Something was really giving Hayley the giggles towards the end. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant.
Delighted to hear your opinion on Faryl and can recommend the CD. In some ways it seems to me a rather old-fashioned CD because of the song selection (one particularly, 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square').
In her stage and off-stage presence and her CD she gives me a deja vu of Hayley who has herself said that Faryl reminds her of her younger self. There is something delightfully 'old-fashioned' about her which I find appealing.
On another tack you mention Hayley Mills "Hayley Mills looks a lot older than I remember her!". What struck me is how amazingly like her little girl self in Pollyanna she looked! Something which was not apparent when she played in 'Leopard's Den'. I think it is her bone structure. The moment she came on stage and particularly seeing the TV close-up, I saw immediately her Pollyanna role.
For a girl in her 50s or not quite 60s I thought she looked smashing.

Thanks for that great clip! I rather gather that at the beginning Hayley makes a comment about Jonathan's jacket! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBy the looks of it, Hayley could definitely talk (and giggle) under wet cement! It looks like she and Jonathan get along great and had a lot of fun. I can only hope that Jonathan's zig zag movements with his index finger is him plotting out the course of his travels down the island's of New Zealand for Hayley's tour!

She does seem to have a lot to say (like any woman ) and they do seem to be on the same 'wavelength' and therefore get along well Hopefully, that was what he was doing and looking ofrward to ay reviews and opics from that one, as it's a bit far for some of us to go to
