Thanks for that, Drew. That means I've already got 15 of the 17 tracks. "Songbird" is an interesting new one. For me the definitive version of that song is Eva Cassidy. (Superb accoustic guitar solo and beautiful string arrangement.) I picked her CD up in Borders for the ridiculously low price of £7.99 !

Hi Drew and Dori and Jeff,
I don't think we can assume that any of the information on that "New Album coming soon" page is correct. If it was correct when first published, it certainly isn't now because there are no more UK release dates left in "August 08" which is mentioned - and it hasn't been released yet.
Whether or not the track listing on hw.com is the latest one or an older one is anybody's guess but anyway, there is plenty of time for it to change again before what we think is the current release date of November 3rd (and that could change as well!).
Cheers, Dave

............is there a HMV store in Lichfield??? Hi Joyce I'm not sure that there is! Lichfield is a fairly small town, despite having a magnificent Cathedral, so even if there is, I doubt that it will stock "River of Dreams". I wouldn't be surprised to find that HMV in Derby won't carry it either! You best bet, I think, would be HMV in Liverpool - big city, big store, better chance! Best wishes Grant

Hello Dave! I know the album's listed on HMV's website. I meant the CD isn't available in their shops yet, so the August release date can't be correct. Richard

I just saw the promovideo , and i love it!! So do I Joyce! I don't recall having seen the bit where Hayley meets the Queen before either. I'm still puzzled as to why this album comes out on 3rd November when the first RoD concert is on 29th October. Surely it should be on sale throughout the tour? Best wishes Grant

I'm still puzzled as to why this album comes out on 3rd November when the first RoD concert is on 29th October. Surely it should be on sale throughout the tour? Hi Grant, I think Dave would confirm that albums are invariably released on a Monday (in the UK anyway) and, no doubt, that particular Monday was chosen for good reason - they wouldn't want to release on the same day as another similar artist for example. The tour has to tie in with Hayley's availability and, equally importantly, the venues'. There is no reason why those first few concerts shouldn't promote the album just as well even though it isn;t released until the following week. I think we can be sure that Hayley will give it a plug at some point during all concerts! Having said all that, it is not impossible that the album will be available at the venues of the first concerts. Although they are not normally available prior to the release date, I have known it happen in the past. The Special Edition of Pure was sold at the Birmingham venue of the "Winter Tour" in November 2005 a few days before the release date. If that happens this time though, there is no guarantee that sales would count towards the charts - that would depend of whether or not the seller (probably Steve A.) is recognised as an official sales outlet (which he probably wouldn't be). It is also possible that it has been planned this way deliberately. The best time to promote anything is just before it becomes available rather than just afterwards, especially if it is an album which you are trying to get into the charts. If the start of the tour coincided exactly with the release, the first concert would be until that evening by which time one day's worth of potential sales will have been lost in that vitally important first week. Other than that, you carry on being puzzled - we don't mind! Roger

Hello 'Puzzled of Spondon'! It's a good job you don't live in Tunbridge Wells, or you'd be 'Confused'! Richard

Hello Roger Thanks for your very detailed explanation. I wondered whether Steve A. might have a few copies available for the early tour dates, so we'll have to wait and see. Richard, you've lost me! I have no idea what Tunbridge Wells has to do with anything So I'm now puzzled, confused and somewhat befuddled! Best wishes Grant
