LIbera's latest CD "Visions" was released in the USA on January 10. Borders have it in stock; look under the new age section.
Nice to see that Ian Tilley is co-producer and also has Fiona Pears' wonderful violin playing.

Libera are making an appearance on BBC1's Songs of Praise this Sunday, 21st May .
The boys travelled to Blytheburgh church in Suffolk to record the item which is a version of 'Sempiterna' from their current album ‘Visions’.

This post has been moved: Just performed on: "When will I be famous?"
I thought that they were already famous.
They certainly will be on 29th June.

Hi Drew, I've just watched BBC's 'Songs of Praise'... Wow! The music was absolutely beautiful! I was particularly struck by Jennifer Pike's spectacular rendition of 'The Lark Ascending' in the Church... Jennifer is a truly skilled violinist (BBC Young Musician of the Year 2002) and her playing was enhanced further by the ambience of the Church building... I was thrilled! Andrew

This post has been moved from the 'Happy Birthday' sub-board. Hi Andrew and Drew, When I haven't been able to attend church, I have been watching BBC *Songs of Praise* on Sunday mornings. I really enjoy the different Locations, Cathedrals and Testimonies of so many varied believers. The singing is always spectacular !! I also very much enjoy Aled Jones and Pam Rhodes ! And of course I am always looking out for Hayley !!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I highly recommend this program !! Love Marianne

I thought I was perhaps going mad, but I saw them on a tacky talent show on Saturday. Why on earth do they need to go on that? Aren't they the most well known choir there is anyway?!
Can anyone explain this bizarre move?

By the way, it may be worth considering giving Libera their own sub-board, I just went through all the other artists (all 8 pages) and I saw four topics dedicated to Libera. I think they are quite liked here.

Hi Nicola,
We used to have a sub-board for Libera (hence the four separate threads) but we found it was one of the least popular at the time and so we closed it and moved the posts to the General section here. The reason was that we wanted to create a sub-board for someone else but we have agreed to restrict these sub-boards to a maximum of 20 artists. More than that and we risk the other music forum taking over the forum and it could become unmanageable.
Anyone is welcome to post about Libera on this thread.
I cannot answer your original question - I was wondering the same thing myself!
Roger

Ah, well that explains it Roger! I was wondering why there were so many threads. I just saw an advert with Libera on the show just now, so I know I wasn't imagining things.

Hi Nicola What was the name of the programme that Libera were on? I've not been following the group lately; I don't know if I will buy their latest CD. I do have a small section for Libera on my Cottars forum.
