I recall having seen brief snippits of that event before, but somehow missed that nice lengthy video. BobS

You're welcome, Bob. They sure do have some odd programming over there in NZ, what with the talking robot and such. But I thought the game they played was hilarious - Hayley did pretty well actually, the hat was perfect! Better than putting underwear on the face, to say the least -Rory

Better than putting underwear on the face, to say the least -Rory Hi, Your "They sure do have some odd programming over there in NZ." is so right! You have brought to mind a radio program of awhile back concerning Hayley that would be an example of that. If you have not already happened to have come across it in your HWI browsing, the sites below will give you some background on the show. A fellow named Jason Gunn and his colleague have a morning radio show. One morning they showed up early unexpectedly at Hayley's house in Christchurch to make breakfast for her, and chat. HWI member Graeme Kraut from Australia was able to get a transcript of the program which you can find on page 3 Reply #43 of the thread. If you have not seen it before, I hope that you find it amusing. BobS hwi.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=Media&thread=5254&page=1www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1pvq4nOTgA

Thanks for the "Spoil the Royal" video Rory. Hadn't seen that before.
Jason Gunn goes back a long way with Hayley. He was the host of the MacDonald's Young Entertainers talent show that Hayley competed in. And Hayley said in "In Her Own Voice" that she had met him a couple of times before that! This was before even "Walking in the Air", so she was certainly no older than 12.
I had seen the breakfast video before.

Lol thanks for sharing the interview Bob, that was quite amusing indeed. Although even a hard rock fellow like myself would find it hard to imagine Hayley dueting with AC/DC i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifYou're welcome as well, Martin. I feel it's rare to find a video that many of you forum 'veterans' have yet seen, so I'm glad I was able to find that clip Also... I had seen the breakfast video before. ...are you implying that there is a video of the radio sample Bob shared, or referencing the video where Hayley eats breakfast on (I believe) the same talk show as in the video I shared? -Rory

Hayley's voice really cuts through the mix - even with hundreds of singing children behind her. I noticed this at Carnegie as well; at the end of the show most of the performers all joined the stage together for "Oh Holy Night." It was really easy to pick out Hayley's voice, even when they were all singing at once

Martin D Hi Martin, Your info above has got me to thinking and wondering. He was born in 1968. In 1994 he would have been 26. From what I have just read (and you have said), he early on was associated with kid programs. Can we go back to 7 for Hayley? How about the guy asking Hayley how to pronounce her name in the video below being Jason Gunn? Maybe Ross could shed some light on that possibility. BobS www.youtube.com/watch?v=az76TQvqOcc

Also, from Bob's second link I've found this site, which has plenty of Hayley videos that youtube does not: www.tudou.com-Rory Hi Rory, Have not been able to get anywhere with that address, even after running it through translation. However, I have previously spent much time at "tudou" searching for David Foster & Friends videos of the Shanghai concert. I have found 3 or 4 shorter ones there, but some of the longer ones that I see listed, I have not figured out how to get them to play. I once happened on a lengthy video of the show which had a lot of Foster's hilarious interplay with the audience. I failed to bookmark it, and have never been able to find it again. That is what I have been primarily interested in when looking at "tudou". BobS

That's strange because it's working fine for me. The page is all in Chinese, but the search window is prominent at the top of the page. When you type your search, it should open a new tab called "soku," which displays your results. Clicking on a result then takes you back to tudou to watch the video. It's a bit odd but the results and videos are still working for me, are you implying that you did not encounter the same scenario, Bob?

Had it in 5 seconds following your instructions. Thanks for the help, BobS
