I was busy working today when on the radio at 8:20am I heard a familiar voice and knew it was Hayley when she laughed. She was on the radio until 9am and I presume she started after 8am but it could have been earlier. Unfortunately I couldn't pick out a lot of what they talked about because of the noise at work. From what I understand the hosts of Christchurch Classic Hits, Jason Gunn (a well known and respected Radio and TV personality) and Dave arrived at the Westenra's house this morning to cook Hayley and the family breakfast. Jason is really funny and would have known Hayley from when she was a young girl so he and Hayley had a great time talking for the hour. When I heard them I think they were talking about Hayley meeting Prince William. They also did a tour of the house and saw Hayley's CD collection. When they saw the vacuum cleaner they asked Hayley if she did the housework. Hayley laughed and said she has been a bit lazy lately. When they reached the shower one of them started singing an opera song and said this was where Hayley practiced singing lol. Jill said a few things as well. Although they played songs throughout the hour none were from Hayley  . Although Jason and Hayley tried to sing some words from Now Is The Hour but Jason was having trouble with the high notes HaHaHa which brought a lot of giggles from Hayley. They finished the hour with them all getting into a car so that Hayley could practice her driving lol. Here is a photo from the Classic Hits website. Jason is on the left.  Hayley and Isaac in the Classic Hits car lol  It is a pity they do not have a play back section on their website as it would have been excellent to listen to it again. Well at least we know Hayley is still in New Zealand.

geee wow ........hey hasnt Isaac grown up......kool.....ummmmm has Isaac already got his full license.....he must have hey if he is in the front while Hayley is learning hey......Kool looking car ..

Hi Sandy & Dori, I've just had an email reply from a guy from an audio firm which does work for classic Fm. 97.7. He's going to chase up Jason to see if he can get a copy if the interview and then we'll be away !!!! Watch this space. Hi Ross Many thanks for starting this thread and posting the photo's. I was really pleased to see how Hayley looked in the radio car. I'm sure she'll make a great driver. Thought I better copy my post from the Twitter thread as it's equally relevant here. Hello everyone
Latest tweets from Hayley after the radio programme.  I listened to about half the programme which appeared to be coming direct from Hayley's kitchen! It was very informal with chatter about ironing, washing up and who should/could dry the pots! Jill and Isaac were also present.
At one point Jason asked Jill if Hayley could be heard singing in the shower at which point he headed off to test the acoustics and could be heard singing a couple of lines of "Time To Say Goodbye"
Towards the end, he and Hayley attempted to duet on "Now Is The Hour" which caused Hayley to have a fit of the giggles. It seemed like great fun and Hayley was obviously enjoying herself.
She did mention that she would be returning to the UK shortly.

Graeme, I should hope she's concentrating while she's driving, and I'm sure Isaac would, too! Hayley seems to do well at everything she tries, so I'm sure she'll be a very good driver. |

This a first: we've now seen Hayley in her jammies! Don't think so Libby! Hayley's wearing the same top driving the car in the second picture and I'm sure she wouldn't do that in her PJ's! Looks like a teeshirt to me. Best wishes Grant |
