I've noticed Katherine is starting to show a bit of leg more recently. I like Katherine.

Grant, we never know with the papers. But Katherine said the exact opposite to "The Mirror" (I know, it's a tabloid). She said she prefered the quiet life to Charlotte Church’s party lifestyle. Anyway, she will have other many opportunities to win an award. Yet, the competition will be fierce with our Hayley i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe url was too long, so I fixed the link to the article using noubbc tags. Richard

Oh no, not more meat business! Still I like 8-10 figure... err I mean Katherine Jenkins. And to keep on topic she looked good at the awards. And yes I do like her voice but not when she trying to sing covers of rock songs.

Most of us didn't like Katherine's outfit at the Awards. On the contrary, "All Angels" made a great impression.

I've just had look at the rest of this thread and those close-ups of Katherine should of come with a warning - my eyes nearly popped out.
I'm going to be biased when it comes to All Angel's and say that Laura looked the best!

Did anyone else hear about how Katherine left the event in a huff after not winning album of the year and went to a nightclub, only to emerge 15 minutes later saying it was just "head banging music for little kids!" Yes, you wouldn't catch me in one of those places either !! Maybe someone should tell Katherine that it's the taking part and not the winning that's important! If true, sounds very much like this young lady is beginning to display diva tendancies. Grant Hi Grant and Jeff, We must be careful not to jump to conclusions based on gossip, if that's what it is. Jeff, do you have a link or source to the comments and attitude attributed to Katherine? It may even be a joke! Jeff? Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, I don't know where Jeff initially heard the story, but there was an article about it in "The Sun" (click here). Best wishes, Stephany

I think Jeff was joking about the 'huff' bit.
The Sun, does anyone take any notice of the paper anyway?
Even if she did say it, I would agree with her, plus there's the the fact she could of been joking as Dave mentioned.

Thanks for finding all those articles, Stephany! I certainly knew about Katherine Jenkins leaving the nightclub after only fifteen minutes. I think I heard it on Classic FM, but they probably read it in the Sun too! Best Wishes, Richard

Yes, you wouldn't catch me in one of those places either !! What's this nonsense about Katherine having left the Classical Brits in a huff because she didn't win? I'm sorry, but I don't believe that. I met her in the Albert Hall after the concert, and her comment was: "Never mind - I'm just not an ex-Beatle." She was her normal friendly self at that time. I met her again when she was sitting in a car to be driven away from the Royal Albert Hall about 30 minutes later - and the car was stopped by her fans who wanted some autographs. (She actually used my pen that time to do the signing ... as she didn't have one ready.) Again, she was completely friendly and did not in any way appear upset. So I am mystified where this rumour supposedly is coming from. By the way, I think Katherine hit the nail on the head with her Beatles comment. McCartney didn't win because of the quality of his classical album, but because he is an ex-Beatle. Cheers, Gerrit P.S. If reports in newspapers are to be believed, only Katherine managed to come close to Paul McCartney in the vote

Let's wait and see if Jeff (or anyone) can enlighten us further before dismissing them. Personally, I am sceptical about the "in a huff" remark for the moment but what if she had good reason to be in a huff? P.S. If reports in newspapers are to be believed, only Katherine managed to come close to Paul McCartney in the vote No, they are not to be believed unless they give the actual voting figures. She would I think have won though, in the absence of Paul - but there may be more to it than meets the eye. I won't elaborate. Cheers, Dave

Thanks Stephany for the above article regarding Charlotte, Melanie, Laura, and Daisy (whew!) I am glad that they made a good impression on everyone, can you imagine?? Still in school and striking it big enough to go to the "Classical Brits Awards!" Wow !!! And still, they "carry on" as usual afterwards....possibly with a few more friends at school. Will they be eligible to attend next year once this new release is ...umm...released? (Did someone just phone Dave?) Cheers, and thanks again, Eric

Personally, I am sceptical about the "in a huff" remark for the moment but what if she had good reason to be in a huff? Jeff is a funny and witty guy. It was obvious he had put his spin on it for a laugh and yet its caused concern. I thought it was funny. And the Sun takes things out of proportion. So Katherine would of been joking about what she said obviously. I'm being a hypocrite because I got worked up about that Hayley meat business. But to paraphrase what Peter(Postscript) said to me in that thread: your reactions may based on the interpretation of someone else's sense of humor. Of course if it is a rumor that Jeff has got the 'huff' from, you can whack me with a wet fish!

Hmm, Jon S,
I'm sorry, but I don't see what's funny in Jeff's post. It is the sort of comment that's based on nothing, but can start leading its own life.
There is a problem with Internet communication - you can't really put your proper emotions across. Something said face-to-face may be experienced as a light-hearted tongue-in-cheek comment because of the intonation and facial expressions by the speaker. Put the same text on a message board with exactly the same words - and it comes across as a dead serious remark. To address this problem a little, emoticons have been invented - but they remain an artificial and superficial way of getting emotions across.
I speak from experience. I have posted messages on forums a few times with what I thought was a light-hearted undertone - and was surprised and appalled at being taken seriously - despite the use of emoticons to smile, grin and wink ....
So, if Jeff tried to do something similar, it didn't work - certainly not with me. And honestly, trying to convince me that Jeff was speaking in jest, that is the same as trying to explain a joke to someone who hasn't got the faintest idea what the joke is about. Maybe that's my shortcoming .... maybe though, there are more people who take the comment serious .... (for those of you who don't realise it, I am now trying to speak in jest - at least to a degree ....)
Cheers,
Gerrit
