Libera (archived sub-board)

The Management Team have recently been reviewing the Other Music board with the view of carrying out something of a tidying up exercise. As part of that plan, the sub-board for Libera has now been archived. Although it no longer appears on the Other Music Index Page, it is still available to view HERE.

Please note that posting to that sub-board has now been disabled. If anyone wishes to discuss Libera's career, they may do so in this thread. Should there be significant and sustained interest, the original sub-board will be fully restored.

Welcome to the forum! Thanks very much for posting this latest info about Libera appearing in the USA. I believe Libera were in Washington DC at the beginning of the year.

Hi Joe - thanks for the welcome. Great forum you have here. I'm also a fan of Hayley Westernra and I'm thankfull for her collaboration with Libera over recent years, and maybe they will join forces again sometime

Libera's Tour dates in the USA, Spring 2008,

Friday 4 April - Asbury Hall at The Church , Buffalo, NY
Sunday 6 April - The Bushnell, Hartford, CT
Monday 7 April - The Egg, Albany, NY
Wednesday 9 April - Byham Theatre,Pittsburgh, PA

N.B. only Albany and Pittsburgh list Libera on their Events Page.

It looks like many Public Television stations in the USA will air the LIBERA special filmed last year.

And also is timed to the release of a CD and DVD, featuring the above concert.

I did contemplate about attending the Albany concert. As a result, I had a dream about it. I dreamt that the young lad next door was part of Libera, and Fiona Pears and Ian Tilley were performing too...no sign of Hayley

I must say that all this has revived my interest in Libera's music

Thanks for this news! My family applied for tickets to see the Pope in NYC, but our diocese only had two dozen tickets or so.

Tickets are selling well for the Southbank, but there's plenty more to be had. So get buying folks

BTW - Libera performed their first concert in Buffalo last night, at Asbury Hall Church. First rewiews coming in are suggesting they won the audience over, and got standing ovation at the end.

Next stop.... The Bushnell on Sunday Night...(p.s. they had a 400 mile road trip today)

Hi - Libera have so far successfully performed 3 of their USA concerts, with the reports coming back very possitive and excellent reviews. It's not allowed to take photo's during the performance but here are a couple of photo's taken by concert goers at their autograph sessions post concert....
