If it is a yes, perhaps you could ask Steve to bring 800 little Treasures with him for Hayley to sign in the interval. We could all promise not to play them until Monday 26th! Universal could cut out the middlemen and the profits could go to HemiHelp. That is a very interesting thought. I might change my priorities! However, would they count towards getting her to No1 IN THE FIRST WEEK!!! That's what matters. Peter S. Good question, Peter. But a better question would be "would they count at all (not just in the first week)". We have discussed this with Steve in the past and he told us that any CDs sold by him at venues do not necessarily count towards the official sales figures. Roger

But a better question would be "would they count at all (not just in the first week)". We have discussed this with Steve in the past and he told us that any CDs sold by him at venues do not necessarily count towards the official sales figures. Roger Hi Roger and guys, I think it's safe to assume that CD sales at Hayley's concerts do NOT (ever) count towards the charts because there would, I think, be a lot of work involved in getting each individual concert set up as an official charts return outlet and for the relatively small numbers involved (20, 40, 80, who knows? but these are all small numbers). So unless Steve A confirms otherwise, the answer would I am sure be "no". Anyway, the 24th February is in the previous chart week to the 26th (release day) so even registered sales would not count towards the chart of the release week, they would count as as "prerelease leaks" and just get lost in the overall totals but would not count towards the chart. So from the charts perspective, It would not be a good idea to buy your copy from such an event even if some were on sale... if you want to maximise Hayley's chart position. It could, however, be profitable for Hayley personally as they would probably be sold at recommended retail price... what's that these days, £15? So there is a kind of conundrum, not only for us but also for Hayley and her management as we cannot have our cake and eat it. To buy or not to buy, that is the question! Cheers, William Shak.. err, Dave

First four rows now all taken. Was it something that I said? Hi Drew I think the first four rows were pre-booked (i.e. reserved) before the event was put online. Maybe they are pre-allocated to a sponsor or something (perhaps Roger's extended family! ). Anyway they are the cheaper seats so I guess the view isn't as good? Look forward to seeing you at this concert. Martin

Martin I suspect that two HWI staff photographers will be sitting alongside me in the front row. I hope that we are all members of Roger's extended family. And just because the seats are cheaper does not mean that you cannot get the best view in the house (although it can get a little frightening getting up close and personal with a Japanese sopranista).

Hi everyone I have to say that this concert looks a good one as well. I am going to have to get my act together and decide which to attend as I will only be able to manage one trip to London in the next few months. Either way, it looks as though I will see some familiar faces I will keep you posted Regards Mark

Roger In any case, I realise I can't go were there not any family performing elsewhere, that's in the period I'm house-, cat-, dog- and plant-sitting for friends on their three-week buzz in NZ! Cheers, William Shak.. err, Dave Love it, Dave, love it. Since she presumably still owes Decca at least a million or two of the £4miilion(?) they agreed to bankroll her and she does get direct income from her concerts, although she might not be 'rich, rich' (yet) she's not desperate for the commission on the odd sale (which arguably would anyway go straight through her books and back out to Decca), so the obvious decision is: don't buy on site BUT! 'a sale is a sale' so for 'first-time people', who purchase spontaneously, it is probably worth her while (i.e. the principle of providing the resource) for once one CD has been obtained there is permanent encouragement to go out for the others. Peter S.

Hello everybody! I went to the Cadogan Hall Box Office this morning, and I've got seat C15 for this concert. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifA word of caution to anybody booking by telephone or in person. There is another show called 'Saturday Spectacular' at 11:00am on the same day, so make sure you specify 'Children Helping Children' when booking. The girl in the box office nearly sold me a ticket for the wrong show, but fortunately I realised her mistake when she only wanted £4.50! One other point. Cadogan Hall's website says 'Children Helping Children' starts at 7:00pm, but the ticket says 6:30pm, so please arrive early. I'll repeat the link for full information and booking: www.cadoganhall.com/showpage.php?pid=31344 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

Hi Everyone Whilst we are booking our tickets for this concert and looking forward to seeing Hayley again (hopefully to hear live for the very first time some songs from Treasure), I have been reading up on Childhood Hemiplegia. Further information is given on HemiHelp's website : www.hemihelp.org.ukIt is a truly dreadful condition and I am sure we are all glad we can contribute in our own way by attending this concert. Not least Hayley who I guess is giving her services for free or for a very small nominal fee. Another example of what a wonderful, caring and compassionate human being she is! Martin

I am going to have to get my act together and decide which to attend as I will only be able to manage one trip to London in the next few months. Yes, Mark. I'm in the same boat. It's half-term and the train company is repairing the line again ! It means I'd have to leave early. But I'm pinning my hopes on a promo show at HMV. Nothing confirmed yet but the dates are spookily significant. Maybe Decca are superstitious. Remember how "Odyssey" was released on Monday September 26th 2005 ? On September 27th we all gathered at HMV in Oxford Street for a guaranteed meeting with Hayley and to see her perform 3 songs (the same number she will perform at Cadogan) and get home at a civilised hour ! Now "Treasure" is being released on Monday February 26th. So what's the betting that there'll be a promotional event at HMV on 27th ? What do you think, Roger ?
