Hayley was in good form and was also quite chatty at times... and very daring when she mentioned the recent defeat of Wales by NZ at Rugby. She did however get a nice reaction and lots of laughs from the audience, who soon forgave her for mentioning it! And then, all too soon, the first half ended - on a jolly note of audience participation - and it was time for the interval. Some photos - including the essential "https://i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifress" shots will follow soon... Cheers, Dave Yes Dave & many thanks for your very welcome writeup. Hayley does give full meaning to the word "Disarming" doesn't she? And she's not afraid to sniff the gun barrels either!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifOur dress thread does need a bit of updating doesn't it.....we'll have to attend to it. Graeme

Hello again everyone, here is the rest of my concert report! Part 2Well the interval came and went, with nothing much happening but soon, we were back in our seats for the second half. The choir sung The stars Are singing with piano accompaniment and the orchestra played Jingle Bells but soon, it was time for more Hayley, who had of course had a dress change (photos to follow). The host for the evening was Kevin Johns of Swansea Sound radio, who replaced Sir Richard Attenborough at short notice (thanks Martin for clearing that up!). He was soon chatting at length with Hayley and those in the audience who didn't already know learned a lot about Hayley's career to date. Once again, she was relaxed and chatty and then, it was time for Hayley's second spell at the microphone. She sang: Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire Silent Night Who Would Imagine a King Away in A Manger Do You Hear What I Hear (explaining that as Sophie wasn't here the orchestra would play her part!) and then, she was gone. But not for long! After Christmas Overture by the orchestra, Hayley returned to the stage to sing Hark The Herald Angels Sing, accompanied by the choir, orchestra and... again, the audience! We did OK! And so it was all over... but the applause wouldn't stop so they returned of course for an encore... with Hayley singing "White Christmas" - another Hayley rarity! Hayley received a nice bouquet of flowers and then, it was all over as the stage curtain was lowered and that was that. After the ShowWe soon found the stage door and hovered there chatting with a lady from NZ - although we heard that there was a short reception in one of the bars but by the time we got there, we'd just missed Hayley. We then met the promoter who kindly offered to let Hayley know we were there and not long afterwards, Kathryn, Hayley and (I assume) the driver appeared - but they were in a rush to get away as Hayley had more recording to do for the album, the very next day! Nevertheless we chatted for a while and took a few photos... the NZ lady presented Hayley with some very nice home-made soap and one or two of us (not me!) had the foresight to have Christmas cards handy for Hayley. But try as we may, we could not persuade Hayley or Kathryn to disclose the name of the new album! "It could still change" said Hayley, with a gleam in her eye... All too soon, Hayley had to leave but we were able to chat with the promoter who confirmed that at Cardiiff on Saturday, ITV Wales would definitely be recording the concert for later broadcast... and that there was a possibility of a DVD of that show being released for Christmas 2007 - but the record company would decide on that. Well, it was nearly 11pm by then so off we drove, deep into the night... and I eventually arrived home, somewhat the worse for wear, just after 4:30 am! More photos soon... Cheers, Dave

Hi Roger & Dave
Great photos. Hayley has on my favorite yellow dress too ( the one in my avatar ). I hope she wears that one for Cardiff tomorrow night. By the way, I have gor a new disk in my camera, just my luck that the camera police will be out in force and I wont be able to get any shots !!
Thanks again
Mark.
