By the way, Dave - nice photos from Cardiff! I understand from Roger that things were more difficult there. Thanks also for the report - I wish I had been able to make it. Stuart

Hi everyone and thanks! Yes Stuart, things were a bit scary - and judging by that report of disgraceful events at the Warwick Castle (?) concert, mentioned by Richard, security meant exactly what they said when they threatened to eject those caught taking photos! However, here are a couple more more photos taken furtively i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif from row L at Cardiff, followed by photos of Hayley and then Fiona taken outside the rear gates of the Arena during Il Divo's performance. A few more... Hayley and Fiona after the concert - close friends! Tour Manager (who knows his name?) and playful Fiona! Finally, as Hayley's car passed us, the grass pig made us all smile! Cheers, Dave

Hello Dave, Thanks so much for the report from Cardiff. Man, things had to have gotten better after that security check. Imagine them banning all photography! I could see things differently if one wasn't to use a flash; especially at an outdoor venue. I'm glad you managed a few pics incognito. Oh, what nice pics of Fiona and Hayley. Um..I like the pic of Perky the Grass Pig also ! Cheers for a job well done Joe

Hi Dave and Roger ! It was a very nice report and wonderful pictures as well. It is a shame that the security have such a ridiculous behaviour only because some fans want to take pictures. Who cares actually ? Who is taking the pictures if not the fans ? Pictures are what we all would like to see. And the pictures you took where really worth to leave the concert. Well done ! I don't know the name of the tour manager but he was the man who took the picture of Hayley and me in Regent's Park. Very friendly guy. Thomas

Thank you Richard. Now we know who is to blame for the fact that the public were strictly forbidden from taking photographs. It was not a security issue in it's literal sense and it was not the request of the performer, her management or even the venue (as far as we know). We were advised that the "official" photographers did not want members of the public to sell their own pictures on the internet and thereby reduce their potential turnover. What happened to free enterprise? I agree that flash should be banned, fellow audience members should not be disturbed, and that the performer and venue has the right to deny photographs being taken by the public during a performance. I do NOT agree that professional photographers should be allowed exclusive rights, especially when genuine fans are paying up to £40 (in this case) per ticket for a PUBLIC performance. But that's what happened. Roger

Thanks Richard - but we didn't *entirely* miss it! First, we *heard* it loud and clear as we were waiting for then talking with Hayley at the rear of the arena. Then, as we were leaving the Castle grounds towards the end of "Il Divo" we could see over the top of the high fencing. Here is what we saw... blurily... from about 250 yards away!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIl Divo from over the fence! Cheers, Dave

Roger,
I endorse your views entirely. Official photographers only take good photos because they get the best positions. At that price, I am sure the artisits would not begrudge genuine fans the opportunity to take something away from the event.

Great photos Roger. I must say I love Hayley's dress. She's not the only one who has a polka dotted dress! I can't wait to hear more about the concert. <3 Caite OK then Caite, I'll take the bait. Let's have a pic of you wearing your polka dot dress!! Graemek
