One problem, which I will learn today--will film work okay one year past its sell-by date, especially at 800? Hello Peter, and thanks for your review! I hope your film is OK, because I can't wait to see if the photographs match the images in my mind when I read your review. They say a picture paints a thousand words, but you've managed to reverse the theory! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

The end question of course is, can i hold the camera steady enough to gert a decent image and can i frame it well? We have so many talented people here i fear the only picture you will get is one postscript with a red face! Peter

Hi Peter ! Good luck with the old film. I must admit, I always buy mine from the processing shop since I've found to my cost that those from supermarkets are often near their sell by date, and spoiled by storage in overheated conditions. Jeff Hi Jeff. I agree wirth you. I never buy cheap film. The reason this was a year out of date is that i bought film for a project two years ago which, for complex personal reasons, I never used. I discoverd them by chance when realising I had run out of time to make a decision about going digital I considerd buying some film and discoverd them. I can say they developed and on the thumbnails they appear okay BUT on this site and with the talent we have? Some careful work is needed over the weekend to see if I have anything worth posting. Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for that brief account of the Concert in Llandudno, sometime when you have a bit more time perhaps you could fill in the gaps! Only kidding, it was superb !! Take care, Steve H My Dear Steve, Of course there is MUCH more to come! Possibly some pics relevant to the post and possibly in the pictures thread for our overseas friends who may find it interesting--a tale of my trip south to north of Wales with Hayley at both ends. A most appropriate pair of porcelain book ends! Peter

Hi all. I'm note sure if I'll let this post stay or I may pull it. My hesitation is that it clearly shows (which may be no bad thing) how indebted we are to Steve, Stuart, Dave and Roger with the excellence of the photographs they take. Mine (on my Wales tour) yet to come (under Photography) will improve The problem on this batch was that I was using a camera I have not used for two years and was using up some out of date 800 stock, hence the graniness. The key problem is speed of response due to lack of familiarity with the camera and having to rely on automatic without flash. However, since it provides some sort of photographic record first, the very marvelous auditorium of teh North Wales Theatre Llandudno. Peter

Now this is where quality gets dodgy! Hayley signing in the vestibule Hayley giving someone her full attention as she always does And Hayley giving someone her gorgeous smile, the same wonderful smile she gave me directly when her minder pointed out this pecliar guy standing on a chair snapping her. She looked, recognised me and responded with a smile and a wave--and its out of focus, so its not here! The rest of Wales improves as I don't have to respond upon the instant. Peter

Hi again. Following on and beginning to improve, ironically using a very cheap Dimage X50 which only has a 12x optical zoom. What is happening at North Wales Theatre is an 11.5 milion pound refurbishment and rebuild, all happening around an operating theatre. No, I don 't mean that. A performing arts theatre that is still open during the building mayhem. This new section was only opened the after-noon before Hayley's concert and unfortunately the new dining facilities were fully booked with invited 'test it out' diners. At the other end, outside the camera's range, the conference facilities are being extended forward and rebuilt. The theatre itself, previous photos two posts back, is to be refurbished this autumn. I forgot to mention that Ian and Fiona were there too, Fiona looking ravishing but I don't think Ian would appreciate being referred to as ravishing--in earnest, perhaps! Peter

Hi Folks. Just in case anayone is 'that' quick off the mark--and many here are pretty jolly quick!--the reason I just deleted this post is that i put it in photography instead of here. Yours etc, just plain confused! Hi folks. When putting up pictures of the Llandudno theatre I overlooked this one, which gives a better view of the new extension. A 'duplicate' is being built on the other end at the front, adding about forty feet to the existing conference centre. The 'building site' appearance indicates how tight they were with handling their 'test' diners for the night preceding and the night of Hayley's concert. The dining room looks out over Llandudno Bay, just across the road and the promenade. Peter
