Hi everyone,
I would like to offer my congratulations to Andrew Fenning for becoming not only our latest UK Correspondent but also our first ever Reporter for Scotland. This appointment is in recognition of his commitment not only to Hayley but also to Hayley Westenra International.
I would also like to thank all our Correspondents and Reporters worldwide for all the support they give to HWI. Simon, Dave and I could not provide a site on this scale without every one of you.
And many thanks to all members here for keeping the forum so active, so informative and so much fun.
Best wishes to you all, Roger

Congratulations Andrew! There's a great team here at HWI, so I would like to thank the three Administrators, Roger, Dave and Simon, for all their efforts in running the Forum. A special mention to Simon because I know he works nearly 24 hours a day keeping the main site up to date! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes to you all, Richard

Hi Peter and Richard, Thank you very much for the "congratulations". I'm hoping to produce a good review of the Glasgow Concert on April 7th. Peter you are quite right- we met at 'The Lowry' Manchester on December 6th last year. Did you take any photographs that evening? We had a long chat with Jill, Fiona and Ian afterwards. Do you remember the fibre-optic Christmas stocking crammed full of little goodies, that we gave Hayley at the end? Yourself, Joe Marsden, Amy and I were the last people in the queue at the signing. The Theatre staff reluctantly told us to leave because they wanted to go home! Peter, I must thank you especially for forwarding the concert review which I produced at the Manchester Concert to Roger and Simon. Although I joined 'HWI' as a member on December 14th last year, I didn't really get actively involved with the Forum until January. Regards, Andrew

Dear Andrew.
Well, you certainly got going in January all right! You've well surpassed me in terms of posts! January was a very bad month for me. However, matters are somewhat on the up and hopefully having caught back up i will soon catch up!
Don't be worried about your reputation and let it get in the way of being daring when you write your review. I am sure we will feel we were there when we read it!
Yes, that is the pain of being an HWI member, we are all for ever getting thrown out at the end of the evening. Much better experience than getting thrown out of the pub though--not that I have any experience of that, of course! Being thrown out of a theatre because we spent too long chatting to Hayley (all OUR fault of course, not Hayley's for being too generous with her time) is a vastly superior experience!
Peter

Hi Peter, That's nothing. I have been thrown out of the Royal Albert Hall! It mattered not because Hayley and Jill were with me at the time and we continued out conversation outside on the pavement! Oh, the memories! Roger

Hi All, Hayley's appearance at Edinburgh Castle next Thursday (20th July) will be her first concert in Edinburgh since Monday 15th November 2004, which was the 3rd date of the Winter 'Pure' Tour Here's the Concert Programme and my ticket from that very memorable evening... Please view a larger image of this picture here
As many of you will remember, Hayley performed with the 'Heart of England Chamber Ensemble' Orchestra and guest artist Mario Frangoulis during that Tour. Edinburgh was one of the locations where the Orchestra opened the concert with Pachebel's 'Canon in D'... This was a beautiful piece to hear performed live. During that whole piece, I can clearly remember the anticipation of Hayley appearing on stage- very exciting! When the piece concluded, Hayley entered onto the stage and treated us to a stunning rendition of 'Amazing Grace'. I was absolutely delighted to hear from Roger via Steve Abbott that Hayley will be returning to Edinburgh! I'm really looking forward to Thursday evening! Regards, Andrew

No doubt that Hayley's appearance at Edinburgh Castle on 20th July will be an evening to remember. Such wonderful memories to be cherished for ever. Have a wonderful time next Thursday. Since there has been a shortage of Hayley's photos on this forum (Sorry! :je Only joking), take some pics of Hayley if you can.

Just imagine how thrilling it would be if members of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Pipe Band were present and ready to accompany Hayley with a rendition of 'Amazing Grace'. I would shed many tears of joy! Incidentally, last Thursday (6th July) the Queen officially opened the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards' Museum at Edinburgh Castle. Hayley may be interested in having a look if she has time on Thursday! (I will post up a scanned image of the Newspaper Article FYI). Regards, Andrew
