Thanks Maya, your confirmation that all is well with your (same version) Firefox led me to spend an hour or two investigating this problem. The YT Playlist didn't crash but it paused for one to four minutes between songs, which is of course unacceptable. I have now traced the problem to an apparent incompatibility involving a Firefox add-on (extension) "Download Helper". Disabling this (Tools - Add Ons - Extensions) has completely solved the problem, so thanks again. Martin, if that isn't the problem for you, try disabling all your Firefox Extensions, see if that fixes it, then re-enable them one at a time until the problem reappears. If it isn't that, it could be one of your Firefox Plugins so try the same procedure with them (Tools - Add Ons - Plugins) except for the essential ones like Shockwave Flash, Java and Microsoft ones. Good luck! And now, back to the music (again!) Faenol Festival 2003 - Part 1 of 4 at HWI (wmv format, links to Parts 2, 3 and 4 are below the video). Faenol Festival 2003 - 4 part Playlist at hwivid on YouTube Cheers, Dave

I was sorry, Dave. It seemed to me that my post forced you to spend some extra hours for the analysis. You are really a technical guy indeed who cares about unsolved problems. I also am that type of man and I sometimes forget about something important to be done quickly rather than my interest. This often requires me to compensate the delay. Without this, I would be considered as a better father and I would be appreciated more on the Fathers Day coming soon.
So it was "Download Helper" that caused the problem. I have tried American version of Firefox on American Windows XP and things were fully OK. I use some of the Firefox extensions but "Download Helper" is not installed.
I prefer FF to IE. FF can choose many different types of extensions. One of the best of extensions to me is “goo Dictionary” which helps me to read English pages faster. Reading many different pages here at HWI with “goo Dictionary” is very nice. Now I am getting used to non-technical expressions and words. I feel more comfortable reading English pages these days.
Best wishes. Maya
