Dear All. This is perhaps an unconventional way of doing things but I found myself stuck and did not wish to start a new thread, so i replied to my own first announcement of arriving! Maybe I'm just stupid (that's not a statement anyone is actually invited to make comment upon!! Its a thing called 'retorical' but I think it has an 'h' in it)! Simply, probably for very sound reasons, only admin level (or somewhere near the Gods on this site ) can reply to admin notices/announcements. All I wanted to say (and suddenly I feel as if I am in the middle of the play within a play in A Midsummer Night's Dream--this lanthorn is my lanthorn, this dog is my dog...). All I wanted to say was to congratulate the thinking behind the Honorary Membership and the four first nominees. I also wanted to say that while the idea is a good one and we obviously intend to honour these four who have graciously accepted, we ought to note that in their acceptance they too honour us. The connection and formal public acknowledgement and support of the family (Gerald) and the professional support (Steve) and Wim (Decca) is a wonderful statement of their confidence in us and what we are trying to do. Thank you, for that expression of your confidence in us. At this point I find our emoticons do not include a pair of clapping hands. What a shame. Oh, and not for me, for them! No, not the clapping hands for Gerald, Steve, Wim, Natasha. Peter

Greetings and Salutations from Portland, ME!
I'm Bob, and just registered here a few minutes ago. I've been a Hayley fan since Christmas when I bought the DVD as a treat for myself. She came highly recommended by a friend on the Celtic Woman forum. I see someone here recently mentioned Plymouth, PA. I was born and raised there.
Joe's probably heard the station I used to work at down that way, WVIA-FM. Do they air any of Hayley's music now? I left there long before she started recording.
I only have her DVD, but hope to pick up the UK versions of her CDs at the duty-free shops, either in Stockholm or Reykjavik, next week.

Hi Bob A very warm welcome to the forum, I am sure you will enjoy your time here and we all look forward to reading your posts in the future. I was in Stockholm last month and you will be pleased to know that the music store at the main airport does have both Hayley's Pure and Odyssey albums. Thanks for taking the time out to join us! Steve H

Hello Bob and welcome to THE forum! Good luck in your endeavours to obtain the CDs. We would be interested to know if they are still available in Stockholm as Steve has indicated, and indeed in Reykjavik. The lengths to which you will go to obtain Pure and Odyssey are most impressive! I look forward to reading your posts and hope you enjoy your time on the forum. Best wishes, Roger

Hey folks! Thanks for the warm welcomes. Postscript, I'm familiar with your Plymouth too. I spent a great Christmas with friends there a few years ago. It's a beautiful place.
Yes Steve, I'm disguising myself as a cardboard parcel and stowing away in a DHL jet bound for Iceland in order to get those CDs!! The things we Hayley fans will do for her music!

Hello and Welcome, Bob! Nice to see you here on this forum...I know I saw you on Roger's Writers and Artists Forum! Joe's probably heard the station I used to work at down that way, WVIA-FM. Do they air any of Hayley's music now? I left there long before she started recording. I know WVIA-FM very well. A wonderful PBS radio station. You must have worked with some fine folks there like Erika Funke,George Graham, and others. I haven't been a member of WVIA for a while, but last year I was a member for WLVT-TV in Allentown (who could resist Hayley concert tickets as a pledge gift?) To my knowledge, they haven't played any of Hayley's music. I have requested that they play her on their 'Mixed Bag' show. Best wishes, Joe

The folks at WVIA, George, Erika, Larry Voytko (who I attended high school with as well) and Lisa Mazzarella, are as terrific in person as they sound on the air. I also knew the ol' downhomer Dan Evans too. I can't see George playing Hayley on Mixed bag. Try calling when Lisa is on the air. I can see her enjoying Hayley's music and giving it airplay.
