Hi everyone, I managed to open it I.E 7. and all ! Could not get more than the small 'pop up' window though, but it was good enough to enjoy it, and yes I agree, it should be archived if possible.

Hi everyone, Sorry to see some people are having problems with this, it's a nice interview and a bit musical in places too! Been a bit busy for the last few days but this one turned out to be quite easy... so here it is, an exact copy of the internet file (I'll see about the website later): Hayley Dave & Isaac on TVNZ (4m33s, 350kbps, 15MB) Cheers, Dave

I know how you feel Steve, for it to not play on Windows Media properly. ... I don't use Windows Media so the video would need to be in a Quicktime or Flash format for me to use (Mac computer, you see). If it gets posted on YouTube they'll automatically convert it to Flash, so there's never a problem for Mac users thanks to YouTube.

..........and a talented Isaac. Great to see Hayley and Isaac performing together - Isaac looking quite the business in 'that hat'! Hi Everyone, I have a worry that Isaac ( and Sophie) will always find things harder because of Hayley. To have such a talent as Hayley as an elder sister is a hard ( impossible ?) act to follow. People are always going to make a comparison to Hayley. We have just had the same with Elizabeth Marvelly, and that was just because they both come from New Zealand and Elizabeth supposedly looked like Hayley! Imagine the situation with Sophie and Isaac, younger sister and brother. My question is therefore , should we be pleased and encourage them to perform together. Or are we helping to cause a future problem ? I am somewhat divided, I would love it if they did, and were successful, but due to the above I have some doubts. Also as fans we will look at it in a different way, how will the public at large react ? A final thought there have been previous family successes, The Bee Gees, The Beach Boys, The Walker Brothers, spring to mind. These probably show my age and there are bound to be more recent examples ! So there is I suppose a 'track record' What do other members think Graham

Thanks for finding this one guys! It was interesting to hear Dave (Dobbyn, not our Dave) mention that in London a couple of Hayley's fans were not used to the booming and banging drums - did he mean you Richard? It was great to hear a few bars of a country rock classic from Hayley and Isaac, and one I haven't heard in a long while. I'd love to see some more of that live. (For those who didn't recognise the song, it was "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd). James

So there is I suppose a 'track record' What do other members think I could add the Jackson 5/Jacksons to your list of family bands, although there was obviously one stand out member. A more recent one would be the Corrs (with a bit of a Celtic theme). Interesting what you say about comparisons and I guess it is inevitable if Isaac and Sophie follow their sister into music. They would have to put up with the accusations that success may only be due to having Hayley as a sister, and possibly have to be even better than her (if such a thing were possible ) to win over all critics. I can think of Julian Lennon as an example who could never live up to the legacy of his father's music. I personally think it would be easier if Isaac wanted a career in music if it was in a different genre - we know from the book that he plays things by Nickelback and Red Hot Chili Peppers and a rock path would avoid many of the obvious comparisons with Hayley. Anyway, I fear that we are wandering off topic here and it may be time for a new thread. Do the mods think Isaac deserves his own thread or sub-board on other music? However, I do feel a bit uneasy commenting on Hayley's siblings too much as they are after all her private life and have not yet made the decision to live in the public eye and to be open to debate on such forums - what are the mods views on this? No 6. Looks like a new dress we haven't seen yet? Bottom right. Deep blue. Looks a good contender with the green Greek one for no1. favourite. Peter S.

Hello again folks! I downloaded Media Player 9 and the video played perfectly this time. I'm warming to Dave Dobbyn now, but I was particularly impressed with Isaac's guitar playing. I think Hayley's ideal band would be Fiona Pears on fiddle, Ian Tilley on piano and Isaac on guitar and backing vocals. He could sing a couple of solos too. Best Wishes, Richard Very interesting, Richard. I think a family concert is a possible now and again. I think Hayley would go with each one as they become 'ready for it' if they choose but would want them to gain their own individual strengths first before making too much of 'in concert with her' except perhaps to help launch them but what a wow such a concert would be.
