As a pretty emotionally dedicated fan of hers I honestly am pretty saddened people have lost interest in a lot of the forums and social media that support and discuss her career. It's pretty heartbreaking tbh. I do hope she returns to making music again soon but I do understand her taking a few years off to relax and take a break from it. I'll be pretty active here as much as humanely possible so don't hesitate to DM me if you have a Discord or what not and wanna chat bout her music or anything else you'd wanna talk bout.. if ever 😅😅

I understand taking time off, too. What I understand less is not letting fans know, so they can be more understanding and know not to pester her about it.

But, since we've seen her songwriting and in the studio, we know that it isn't entirely the case that she's taking time off. She is, but she isn't.

Yea same here, I'd say she's kinda in limbo in between taking a "break" and getting ready for a new tour type of thing. I really miss her though, am I'm dying to know where she's doing yours in the US since she's here like all those time lol 😂😂😅 She's honestly the only singer I'm actually die hard interested in going to a concert. It would be awesome actually if this community could do like a meetup to go to one for those in the U.S.

Grest posts, my friends.  HWI has a grand history of members meeting up at a concert.  Indeed our first year 2003 saw marvellous friendships made; with members travelling far and wide...spending days and some great concerts together.  At my only Hayley concert at Easton, PA in 2005, I met a handful of forum members. 

I pray that we shall meet at a wonderful Hayley concert one day, Spart...and Libby...and everyone else! Until then, here is a smile and my best wishes

Hello HWI folk. My name is Christine Thomas, Chrissy for short, and hence my user name. I've been listening to Hayley's music for some years now and have been visiting HWI to catch up with her news.

I've been meaning to post on this part of the forum with a few words of introduction ever since I joined rather hurriedly to post about a photo looking similar to the Greener Lands video. I had it in mind that my original post was a few months ago. Checking back, I'm rather ashamed to admit that it was actually on the 10th of January. Tempus fugit!

Me? Well I'm rather older than I care to admit! I live with my family in the south west of the UK, not far from Bristol. I'm not an active musician, but I do enjoy listening to a number of genres. The car radio is tuned to Classic FM (Hayley was played last Sunday afternoon) and my broad based CD collection goes back to the 'seventies.

I'm afraid I'm not that "tech savy" when it comes to modern electronics, much to the despair of my teenage daughter, so all my interaction with HWI is via my Windows desktop PC. Tablets, smartphones, and social media are black arts to me, so I do miss some of the items posted on here which don't seem to work on PCs. I do have a mobile – an ancient Nokia C1 (Google it for a history lesson!) – however it does have the advantage of a battery that lasts a week. Back in the day, though, I was something of a dab hand with a spark plug spanner and could fire up a car using the starting handle. A dear friend had an ancient Morris Minor with a handle and a gutless battery, so we all got plenty of practice (keep the thumb back, not round the handle!).

I think that's probably it for the moment. Having done a brief intro (at long last), I feel more of a bona fide forum member.

Finally, I hope I've posted in the right place. If not, please can one of the forum moderators move it to the right place?

Hello Chrissy!  Indeed your post is in the right place...and thank you for sharing your words!  

I live in America, in northeast Pennsylvania with my family.  Interestingly my twin brother has no interest in Hayley or related artists! 

Although I use my iPad for much of my HWI and online work, occasionally I use my Dell desktop PC (bought from QVC).running Windows Vista!  It is nearly twelve years old and its hard drive is nearly full.  I do own a LG mobile (also from QVC) on a pay-as-you-go account but my carrier Verizon does not have service here...unless I go a few miles down the road.  Mind you, with the trees having lost their leaves I might get a weak signal!

So please have a look round the forum, and do post when you can, Chrissy.  It has been around for over fifteen years so broken links or missing pictures in older posts are only to be expected. In addition to this forum, HWI also has a Facebook page, a YouTube channel, and an amazing website. 

I am looking forward to your future posts...and thank you again!

Hey I'm back again, yea I just wanna say I absolutely adore Hayley, I honestly haven't been able to listen to any other music besides her since I found her 2 years ago now. I'm your typical gamer guy lonely bachelor and I tend to be depressed more than I can handle sometimes. Her natural beauty and more importantly her musical gift helps me make it day by day. I'm just a bit heartbroken that she hasn't made any music since like early 2014/5/6. I'd say more than anything, before I die I just wanna meet her one time time or go to a concert of Hayley's. Love this community and hope we can breath new life into it!

Hello my friend...Hayley is a special person; humble in her accomplishments.  Her voice is a healing one...and for every mood she has sung a song for it. Thank you for sharing your words...each post is richly appreciated.  

So far, next year will be better for Hayley as we know of one concert in Taiwan planned for May.  And I trust 2019 will be a better and more prosperous year for us all.  Please feel free to Message me here anytime you need to talk to a buddy!

Long post! Guess you haven't seen my long posts, because I definitely have you beat as far as that goes! LOL

It makes me kind of sad to read what you say about her lack of music-releasing (I do think she's MADE music, she just hasn't seemed to feel the need to RELEASE it yet ), and about wanting to meet her before you die. That's the way I used to feel about meeting Hayley, and I always thought it would be a very long time before I would. Yet, here I am, nearly 4 years after I DID meet her! But only because I flew out to Wisconsin to do so. I'm so glad I did, or I would really be upset now. At the same time, I don't really want that to be the first and ONLY time I ever meet her, but as everyone often points out, we'll probably all have to think about travelling to Taiwan if we actually want to see her in concert again. In fact, maybe we should all organize an HWI concert trip! That ought to get her attention, if nothing else will!!

Hey man! Honestly I'd be willing to do that if we went together as a group! (I have never really gone by myself any out of country) If you'd want to get in direct contact with me I'd be definitely down with that. Then can we maybe plan something out for a meetup with all the active members or something like that 😓😅😅. I'd definitely love to do it for my 21st birthday pre or post activity. Well, I say that, but having just had a trip to London, my first trip overseas, I'm not sure how soon I'd really be ready to do that. But if any of the others were thinking of trying it, I'd keep it in mind. One thing that's nice about Taiwan, we have friends there, as well. Frank Lin is our most reliable source of Hayley info in Taiwan (he runs Hayley fans in Taiwan pages on FB and twitter). So, we could meet him too, and he could help us survive in Taiwan, not knowing Chinese. LOL I know Hello and Thank you, only because Hayley has said it before. LOL

As far as Hayley having a concert in CA or not... she's only been in CA consistently since last December (I think). She has shown signs of being in a studio a few times since then, but it's been months since even that, so who knows what's going on. Especially since it's now been 2 YEARS since she released her Greener Lands video, and THAT was the first time we found out she really might be pursuing music in CA. She had been in CA earlier in 2016, as well. She was also in CA twice in 2014. So, all these times she's been there, we really haven't found out much. Greener Lands is better than nothing, but it got us all so excited, now I have to say I'm all but deflated as far as Hayley goes.

However, the fact Hayley has been in LA for so long is encouraging, nonetheless, as it indicates she's still pursuing a career that keeps her away from home (meaning, it's not just because).
