Hi Susan! I'm so glad you have Hayley's self-titled cd. Plus the clip of Hayley's 'Con Te Partiro' is so lovely. I've contacted Wisconsin Public TV about her recent concert. They didn't have plans to release the concert on video but they said the possibility does exist.

I'm wondering if the Wisconsin Public TV folks might be "persuaded" to provide their master video recording of the Concert on the Square to Channel 13 in New York City which is the national distributor for a number of nationwide PBS programs such as the GREAT PERFORMANCES series. I have seen *other* lesser-known community orchestras featured on GREAT PERFORMANCES in the past, and I see no reason why the Madison, Wisconsin orchestra concert of July 28th could not be featured equally as well. Gosh, it would be so WONDERFUL if the concert given in Madison could be beamed nationwide to ALL of the PBS affiliates during the PBS pledge drives! I cannot understand why WPT wouldn't try to contact their "parent" organization (PBS) and request that the chief executives at least view and evaluate the program. Because, that way, we wouldn't need them to sell a videotape of the performance. We could all just watch it on our local PBS station, and record it (from the broadcast), if we like. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi Cougar16,
Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your time with us and am looking forward very much to reading your messages.
Why not post and tell us a little about yourself? Something like: 1) where you are from 2) When did you first hear about Hayley and how? 3) what your thoughts and feelings about Hayley are.
Anything like that would be great.
Keith

Hey wazzzzzzz up? I'm from Colorado, US of A. I'm 16, in 11th grade. I first heard Hayley Westenra sing a couple days ago. I first heard her on iTunes, there was a movie of her. I bought "Pure" Saturday the 2nd. I ordered "Hayley Westenra" from somebody through amazon on Saturday the 2nd. She has a beautiful voice. Will she ever sing with Josh Groban? When is she coming to sing in Colorado? Ya'll have a nice day?

Hi all, I would like to welcome Jurk and kcuteus to the forum (a little belatedly - sorry about that). I do hope that you enjoy being members of this friendly little community and I look forward to reading your messages. Although the last 16 months have been an exciting time to be supporting Hayley, there are even greater things to come in the next few months. This is the perfect time to be keeping up to date with all things Hayley. A new album, more touring, and much more besides. Welcome to the rollercoaster ride. Keith.

Hello, I'm Mark (my real name) and I've been visiting this site regularly for the longest time. I also visit and post frequently on HWFans using an alias or two or three..... it's a long story, don't ask!
But anyway, I'm a sincere fan of Hayley and now Yulia and a few others who need no mention. I'm very thrilled to see so much talent presenting itself in the younger generation. It gives so much hope for the future.
Hayley is about to become a superstar worldwide. She should have it locked-in by her next album. Here in the USA she's hardly known, but I think that will change dramatically in the year ahead.
This site is the most informative without question. I think everyone who visits receives that impression straightaway. But still, these forums are not very lively yet. Nothing against the design or anything, but something seems lacking. But whatever, I'll certainly try and make a difference.

Hi Mark, Welcome to the forum. It's good to meet you in the virtual world of the web. The progress Hayley is making in the US is steady, which is far better than a sudden burst to fame (they are usually short-lived). I am pleased to say that Hayley is solidly established here in the UK, with almost half the total world sales of PURE being here. Further down the forum homepage, you will see a board called "Suggestions". If you have any ideas that you think could be useful for HWI, please feel free to post them there. Meanwhile, I will look forward to reading your messages here and, I hope you will enjoy being a member. Best wishes Keith.

Hello everybody, I thought I would register to join this Forum.
I've been a big fan of Hayley since I first found "Pure" on a listening post on 19th September 2003. So far I've seen and met Hayley three times, at the Fairfield Hall Croydon on 1st October 2003, the London Palladium on 29th March 2004, and the Cliffs Pavilion Southend on 21st November 2004. I'm really impressed by the way Hayley's international career has progressed in such a short space of time, and she always seems very happy with herself and what she's doing. She also comes across extremely well on all her TV appearances, and she's a very nice person too, plus she's got one of the best voices I've ever heard, of course!
I enjoyed meeting Gerrit at the Palladium and Roger at Southend, and I hope to meet more of you in due course.
This is a brilliant Web Site, and I wish you all a very Happy 2005.
Best Wishes to you all,
Richard Norrington

Hi Richard,
Welcome to the forum. It's great to see you here, joining our ever growing family of friends.
In my own case, I have been a fan since July 2001 - just after her first commercial album was released in New Zealand. My first taste of Pure was in August 2003, when I had it sent over from Hong Kong. My first meeting with Hayley and Gerald was at the Faenol Festival in North Wales, 24th August 2003.
Since then, I have seen Hayley quite a few times and get on very well with her, as well as with Jill and Gerald, and Steve, her manager.
Two days after meeting Hayley for the first time, I was honoured to receive an email from Decca asking me to help in her promotion in the UK. The one thing all this says is how open, friendly and approachable everyone around Hayley is. It's a real pleasure to know them all and to be able to do what little we can to support her.
Another major part of it is the opportunity to meet other fans and become friends. I look forward to the day when I can get to meet you in person.
Until then, I hope you enjoy the site.
Best wishes to you (and everyone here) for a very happy and Hayley filled New Year.
Keith.

Hi Richard,
Welcome indeed to the forum and many thanks for your kind words about the site. I thoroughly endorse what Keith has said about Hayley and everyone associated with her - they are all remarkable and delightful people.
It was good to meet you in Southend and I look forward to our paths crossing once more during future tours.
All the best for 2005
Roger

Hello everyone I'm Heather from Canada and have just become a member of HWI. I was completely captivated by Hayley from the second I heard her first note. I am planning on going to her concert in San Jose, CA May 26, 2005, however, I don't know where she will be singing. Can anyone help me out? Thanks and look forward to getting to know some of the fans. H.

Hi Heather,
Welcome to the forum, it's good to have you with us. I do hope you enjoy being a member of our family.
At this stage, we have not been advised of venues for several of the US concerts, including San Jose. The last time I spoke to Hayley's manager about it, he said the reason was that arrangements had not been finalised yet. He promised to let me know as soon as they were. It's not that there is any doubt about the concerts. It's just that he will not release information to the fans until he has all the paperwork in his hands. A matter of being careful, and not releasing information which might change after release.
Be sure that as soon as the final details are known, HWI will have the news.
Keith.

Hi Morten,
Welcome to the forum. We are delighted you have joined us.
I know what you mean about the availability of her CDs. It was over 2 years from my first finding Hayley before anything of Hayley's became available in the UK. Very frustrating but, I did strike up a very good relationship with a top quality online retailer in NZ whilst waiting for Hayley's international fame, which I knew from day one was going to happen.
I hope you will visit us often and look forward to reading your messages.
Best wishes to you from the UK Keith.
