This is a 55 second video that Hayley talks about New Zealand and it's influence on her music. Found it on a NZ website, video should be record during "Pure". Download from here: www.hikingway.com/music/hw_t.mov

Hi Cherry,
That is incredible. You are definitely right in saying it was recorded during the Pure days and it is amazing that we have never seen it before.
I always like to hear Hayley talking about her home country so thank you for posting the link.

This is so funny! I remember my aunt from Nz told me, she met Hayley and her family during the recordings of the videoclip, somewhere in the Coromandel peninsula, at the Cathedral cove. It looks like Hayley is in this video somewhere on the beach near Cathedral Cove.Very nice to see her and talking about NZ. Greetz JOYCE.

Hi Joyce, Does your Aunt have a blog? The reason I ask is that I ran across a blog awhile back where some folks were visiting Cathedral Cove on the day of the filming of that video. Hi Cherry! Thank you so much for the video. I haven't seen it for a long time. At the end of 2004 I got the idea visiting NZ in February this year. I informed myself also on the website www.newzealand.comThe video used to be on that website in 2004. I watched it, became interested, browsed Hayley's music on iTunes and became "hayleywowed" immediately. Unfortuneately it took a while until I saw and met her the first time in May 2006. Best wishes, Thomas

So that would make her 1/8 Maori, yes? Except that another article places her at only 1/16 Maori by saying it was a great, great grandfather. See: THIS ARTICLE. So what's the deal?
