WOW!!! Well, good on ya Hayley! Funny that - despite the fact that she said she wrote this book to stop rumours etc about her, i get the feeling that the Herald may have exaggerated when they said she 'parties hard'. Or am i just behind because i haven't read the book yet?? :2fun: Dori

Hi Dori,
No, I don't think you're behind and I believe the Herald were exaggerating to some degree. It is true that Hayley now goes to the occasional party (more than she did so in the past) but only if she doesn't have a concert coming up. I think to describe it as "partying hard" is a little misleading though.

Hi all, Wow...some interesting bits there. Certainly Hayley has lots to celebrate about. I don't think she parties over the top though. Good that Hayley's thinking about her next CD.

Good that Hayley's thinking about her next CD. Hayley never rests on her laurels and that is a very good thing. She already has a few UK concerts planned in April and June but other than that - nothing yet. It would be great if she could focus on her new album. Stephany

Now what could she be doing in March? A bit of studio time perhaps? Aroha Grant xxx

Hi Stephany Just a thought, but Hayley is back here at the end of February and doing some concerts from the beginning of April. Now what could she be doing in March? A bit of studio time perhaps? Aroha Grantxxx Hi Grant and Stephany, At the risk of drifting off topic we do know that the preferred time of year for the release of new Hayley albums in the UK is March (because of Mothers Day and Easter - both in March 2008) and that seems to fit in with Hayley's return to the UK so she could promote it. Although it would have to be released (for UK Mothers Day) on Feb 25th, the day after Hayley's final NZ concert! We do know (I think) that Hayley will be in NZ from Christmas for two months... which leaves no time to record an album after Christmas. But nothing much seems to be scheduled for Hayley from 16th November until Christmas, just the three UK concerts. Therefore, my guess is that Hayley will be recording either a new album in November/December... or some tracks for a revamped UK Special Edition of Treasure (like they did for Odyssey). I am puzzled by the absence of a special UK edition of Treasure to date, this would be the first time there hasn't been a UK special edition. It would also be the first time Hayley has released new International albums in successive years. Either way, I am guessing that Hayley will be recording for a month, starting in mid November. Special Treasure or New Album? That is the question! Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave and thank you for your (as usual) perceptive take on the situation. I can see someone is going to have to do a little digging during Hayley's Christmas UK 'mini' tour to see if she (or Steve) gives us any clues Best wishes Grant

Hmmm, something just hit me. CW was supposed to hit Germany in their next tour, right? Could it be that Hayley's refusal to go back to Germany might have played into that cancellation? Hmmmm. I won't speculate, but the question is worth asking.
I'm sure Hayley wants someone with a GOOD sense of humor. I know she can't stand old jokes or puns that make most folks groan, trust me, I've tried them on her.

Thank you Stephany and Belinda for finding this article. And thank you, Hayley, for seeing the stalker problem in Germany this way. I would love to see Hayley in Germany again but there must be always "Safety First"! Thomas Many thanks also from me to Stephany and Belinda. Perhaps there'll be a chance to see Hayley here in Germany in one of the next years, safety provided - to my mind, two stalkers amongst over 80 million people are not representative. Karsten

Either way, I am guessing that Hayley will be recording for a month, starting in mid November. Special Treasure or New Album? That is the question! Cheers, Dave Dave, that sounds quite logical. A CD can't be recorded, inclusive post-production, within one month. So if the release of the CD was planned in the beginning of next year it would make sence to record it before the NZ tour, like in November. I hope we are right at this point. Hmmm, something just hit me. CW was supposed to hit Germany in their next tour, right? Could it be that Hayley's refusal to go back to Germany might have played into that cancellation? Hmmmm. I won't speculate, but the question is worth asking. Steven, the concert of CW in Europe is officially postponed and not cancelled. A reason why I couldn't refund my ticket for the CW concert in Duesseldorf until today. Hayley denied her participation at the CW tour already in June at Telford, a long tome before the concert was postponed. Perhaps there'll be a chance to see Hayley here in Germany in one of the next years, safety provided - to my mind, two stalkers amongst over 80 million people are not representative. Karsten Karsten, I also hope to see her in Germany again. Steve Abbott told me at the Different Voices concert in April that the cancellation of her tour in October 2006 was due to the stalkers. As far as I remember it correctly he said that the security wasn't able to exclude those persons enduringly from the concert venues. Thomas

I think to describe it as "partying hard" is a little misleading though. Roger I suspect that a little research will reveal a possible pattern emerging - the press coverage she is receiving in New Zealand may now be a bit different than that which she gets elsewhere. (Look back to an article from late last year which featured a headline something like "From Teen to Temptress") I dont know whether or not this is exagerration, because a concept like "partying hard" is very subjective. I am pretty sure that my definition of this and that of my mother would have been quite different back in my day......also keep in mind that because she is being interviewed for a publication on her home turf, Hayley herself may feel less need for caution.
