Music that makes you cry

Currently, some of Hayley's songs are doing the trick: especially Who Painted the Moon Black, The A Side, Greener Lands, and Who Will Echo My Heart. I didn't realize how heart-wrenching these songs were until now.

The songs by Rebecca St. James that I shared in the "What are you listening to now?" thread last summer are helping, though.

The first time I ever heard Hayley sing was live, and I was in tears after 10 seconds. The song was Pokarekare Ana. Perhaps because it is is sung in Maori, we don't appreciate it as a sad song.
