Dear Members, Earlier this week I learned that our longtime member and friend Tim Johnson had passed away. Tim joined this forum in May 2005. I was blessed to meet him five months later at a Hayley concert in Easton PA., along with several other HWI'ers. He traveled extensively to attend many other concerts in the US, the UK, Ireland, and even New Zealand. I will never forget watching A Capitol Fourth on July 4, 2008 and seeing Tim and his brother J.J. holding up a sign reading "Hi Hayley - HWI" on national TV. I invite you to read Tim's posts which are filled with dozens of his concert experiences and photos with Hayley.... hwi.proboards.com/user/10/recent ... and please reply if you had met Tim or just want to say a few words. On Saturday I will share a link to this thread with Tim's sister on Facebook. She mentioned to me that Hayley's voice had been a source of comfort for Tim. Some photos... Tim with Hayley in the UK, in NZ, Hayley with Tim and his brother in Washington DC, and Tim's banner seen round the world.

Very sad to hear this news. I met Tim several times at his visits from the USA to attend a Hayley concert in the UK and I would say that you could not have met a nicer man. He always had a smile and was an ardent Hayley fan.

Tim was a fellow Pennsylvanian... from the Lancaster area. His first posts were about our discussing PBS pledging for tickets to the Easton PA concert in October 2005. Inside the State Theatre Tim warmly introduced himself to me and my family. Then I met more HWI members including Steven Olivo and Natasha Barbieri (née Poholka). Although there was no autograph session, us HWI'ers stayed in the lobby after the show hoping Hayley would emerge from a private reception with the PBS station and VIP pledgers. However theatre staff closed the lobby so it forced the remaining fans outside to stand either under the marquee or in the pouring rain. Someone in the crowd mentioned a stage door was accessible through an alleyway behind the theatre. So off we went! My brother and I, along with Tim and Steven stood by this unmarked door for a good while, shielding the rain with folders, satchels full of cd's, and gifts for Hayley! I didn't want to leave the spot, but had to, sadly. Eventually I learned that Hayley did emerge from that door, and Tim met Hayley...for the second time. He was at her showcase in NYC two days prior!! I spent a lot of time looking back at Tim's posts, and recall his kindness to his fellow Hayley fans. I wonder just how many times has he met Hayley...possibly two dozen? Tim was a true ambassador of HWI. To love singing is to live for what cannot be suppressed. Tim's forum signature above might sum up nearly sixteen years of HWI's mission. May it hold true for us all. Rest in peace...and thank you Tim. Me and Tim

Very sad to hear this. I well remember seeing his banner on TV after watching that already exciting US TV appearance. It was even more exciting to see a glimpse of HWI fans on TV, as well!

I think it was at the back doors of Union Chapel after we had waited for a couple of hours, Hayley emerged and spotted Tim and looked quite surprised and pleased and said something like "Oh hi Tim, your'e a long way from home" Martin got a couple of good pictures HERE

This is very sad news! My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Tim. <3 I never met Tim unfortunately since I became a fan during the Paradiso era (2011) and was just happy to be buying Hayley's albums and thinking she would eventually come to the States to promo the record. A naive thought in Hayley-land. However, I do remember reading his wonderful concert reports and seeing his pictures and videos, which made me feel like I was there at the shows. He was also very supportive along with several other fans to help this newbie along the "fandom" path. He will be greatly missed here on the boards!

I am saddened to hear this. I met Tim in Boston in 2012(?)at the Mario Frangoulis concert where Hayley guested. He was very kind, and passed on some Hayley promo flyers to me. He even made sure to pass on my apologies to Hayley for not being able to meet her.
My sincere condolances to his family.
