Perhaps it has been 14 years or so since I first heard Hayley's voice. Coincidentally, a 14 year old singer is about to step onto the world stage, with a voice and quality worth sharing.
Lucy Willow Thomas, from Lancashire, has sung before HRH Prince Harry and Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams last month. She performed at a gala dinner held in the gardens of Kensington Palace in support of the OnSide Youth Zones charity.
Lucy has announced that she will appear on The Voice Kids on Monday, July 16 at 8 PM on ITV.
Here is one video she did last month which really connects with me emotionally...

Yes Joe and now the World Cup and Wimbledon have finished I can give this show my full attention. Last night an 11 year old Russian lad brought the house down. One of the judges turned his chair after only 2 seconds.  I will keep my eyes peeled for Lucy Thomas tonight. |

Lucy's performance was spot on! My goosebumps have goosebumps after that lovely long note!
EDIT....ITV have made these videos unviewable to those of us in the USA. Here is Lucy’s introduction on the programme before she sang Blind Audition...

Tell you what Joe, there are some talented kids on this show. Last night we had Pardis singing Gershwin's "Summertime." Will is so disappointed his team is full (with 12 singers) but he still desperately pushes his button to try and get his chair to turn ! Just goes to show that good things come to those who wait (and don't fill their team too early !).

Lucy brilliantly smashed her battle round turn! Coach Danny selected her for the semi-final. She sang ‘Smile’ against J’Ci and Jacob. Not sure when her semi-final airs.
Here is is their performance...
The public favourite at the at the moment seems to be Brooke (also with Team Danny) who has 155,000 174,000 views of her blind audition video compared to Lucy’s 61,000 68,000 views.
I have a video of Lucy singing whilst on holiday in Greece a few weeks ago that is pure gold...will share that soon!

It's the second of the battle rounds tonight Joe with the semi-final on Friday. Danny told Lucy "Your control, smoothness and pureness is world class" and I'd have to agree.
Unfortunately Will put Persia and Yaroslav in the same battle group meaning only one of them could go through to the semi-final and Will picked Yaroslav.

Yes I saw Lucy. Shame she didn't get through. Thanks so much for posting that Greece video. She's superb and as you say a perfect setting. The internet here was down yesterday. Maybe the Russians hacked it to get Yaroslav more votes ?  Here's his performance. You wouldn't think he had a cough ! |
