I still haven't watched back the other shows, and not sure if I care enough now to do so at this late in the competition. Daniel sang Somewhere from West Side Story. It was vocally excellent, though I was afraid the song choice was too "safe", not surprising enough, if you know what I mean. The judges are much too critical, with the exception of Heidi. She's the only one with sense in regards to Daniel. His last notes in particular were impressive, actually reminded me of Mario slightly. In that sense, I agree with Simon that the operatic songs are what he's best at. Here's the link to vote if anyone wants to: agtvote.votenow.nbc.com/?app=web#vote/grid

He scraped by, again! He was in the "Dunkin Save" thing again, and the judges thankfully voted to save him. Of course he has no chance of winning (being in the save even once isn't a good sign of the amount of support he'd need to make it very high. I'm still glad he's in the finals, if only to see him sing one more time. I have no idea who will win.
Another good act who might actually make the top 5 is Brian Joseph King, a guy who plays the electric violin, and reminds you of Lindsey Stirling a bit... not that he dances around like she does, but his style of music and the excitement he creates on stage while performing is similar. I keep thinking he'll go home, but twice I've been surprised that he made it without any Dunkin Save at all. It would be nice if Lindsey came on to play with him during the finale show. And, if somebody like Josh Groban came to sing with Daniel Emmet. LOL yeah right. He has an album release next Friday, so have no idea where he'll be when.

Here is Brian King Joseph (I reversed his name in my last post):
Here's his audition:
I don't recognize this song, but I liked it the best out of his other songs:
In this one he starts out playing a classical piece I recognize from skating programs, but don't know the name; the rest is a pop song called "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy.
This one is "Gangsta's Paradise", but it really doesn't sound like anything "gangsta" to me, so you might like it even if you're not into "gangsta" music. LOL I'm more familiar with Weird Al's "Amish Paradise", but I still recognized the tune. LOL

Hiya Libby Thanks very much for posting the videos of Daniel and Brian. This final will be a nail biter! I am torn between Michael Ketterer and Daniel Emmet. Then there is Brian King Joseph and Glennis Grace. I cannot wait to see who the guest artists will be for Michael and Daniel! I could not find any info about it at all. Just got goosebumps about Hayley duetting with Daniel. One can dream.

Well, currently Josh and Hayley are both in the UK, last we checked, but a lot could change between now and Wednesday... but I don't think Hayley will ever be on that show. The way she was dumped from Jai's album back in 2011, I wouldn't count on Simon and his cohorts to accept her again, especially with her lack of new material lately. And their poor attitude towards classical singers at the moment, too. I was initially excited that Simon gave Daniel that other, better song to sing, because I thought that meant that he saw potential and really liked him. Maybe he did, but maybe his producers got to him, and he decided to dump him... even if it was just for drama, but he's been known to dump BGT winners before, Jai himself in particular.
Josh was already on with the Forte Tenors, so I don't know if they'd invite him back. Too bad, because he could make up for his lack-lustre performance that time due to illness.
I think Brian should get Lindsey Stirling!
I honestly have no clue who will win. I'm quite sure that Daniel won't, and I doubt Glennis will either. She was in the Dunkin Save, and that usually means they don't have the backing to get high enough to win. Plus, everyone's so irritated that she's on the show at all, because they see the huge success she's already had in the Netherlands, and that all her Dutch fans are voting for her, and they don't think it's fair. I find myself questioning it, too. I liked her performance the other night, but I'm not rooting for her to win, and I don't think she will.
Michael is popular, as is Shin Lim the magician. Of course, so is that screaming banshee Courtney. I desperately hope she won't win. I hope she's dead last. LOL Very doubtful, though. Last place might go to Daniel, unfortunately. Or maybe one of the comedians (the guy) or Duo Transcend. Actually yes, they may very well be last. I don't even know why they made it to the finals. I don't care for their "sob" story, because I think it's ridiculous to do acrobatics when you're going blind. It's already a big risk, but to create a bigger risk by not being able to see very well is senseless, if you ask me. I hope they are last, with Courtney not far ahead. LOL

Daniel sang the song that Andrea Bocelli and Ed Sheerhan recently made popular, Perfect Symphony in Italian (originally a song in English by Ed Sheerhan). It was outstanding, and the judges were even impressed (though Howie's comment was still rather wishy-washy).

LOL I had to watch Courtney's performance of River Deep Mountain High, after reading your comments and seeing the publicity she's had today in the UK Media (14 year old English schoolgirl from Peterlee County Durham in AGT Final makes big news!). I know I shouldn't do this as it's the opposite of what we usually discuss and show in here but I am in mischievous mood! Anyone of a nervous disposition, do not watch this, my head's still spinning! I don't mind the style of music or her enthusiasm, I just can't stand her odd, spastic moves, or the dreadful faces she pulls. When she's not screeching, her exaggerated deep voice will also drive you insane. Here's Daniel's superb performance of Perfect Symphony, which, annoyingly, they don't give mention of Andrea Bocelli. Probably so Daniel gets more credit for the unique twist to a well-known pop song. Also, take a good listen to the intro part below; he sings a bit of Nessun Dorma, which is quite stunning! A bit too fast compared to the normal versions, but not much.

On last night's finale show, Placido Domingo was on to duet with Daniel Emmet! He's not my favorite opera singer, but I did enjoy the duet very much. Daniel's voice is excellent for opera! Or, since he resembles Josh Groban, he could sing any of his songs well, too.
